I personally love the shrek films and was excited to hear there was a third one coming out. Although when i first watched it i got bored quickly and lost interest but after watching it again i seem to like it more and more. It has plenty of humour and you may not like a character but sometimes you have to look past that. For those who are dragging it through the mud...give it a second chance

I had such low expectations of this film, because everyone had told me it was just a bit naff and silly. Yes! It is naff and silly, but in the best way as physically possible! This is one of greatest children's films ever made, just over taking the Spongebob Squarepants Movie. Other reviewers have said it's 'very good, FOR CHILDREN!' - What Goofy Goobers! - Of coarse! It's a movie FOR CHILDREN! (It's not that hard to guess, being called 'The Cat In The Hat') What do they think! It's going to be some kind of super violent adults gangster movie? Anyway, point made.

It tells the story of Conrad and Sally, their mum is a workaholic with a slimy cheese ball for a boyfriend, and one dull rainy day, shows up does the Cat In The Hat! From ... Read More:

People who like this kind of thing will probably find that this is the kind of thing that they like.

For everyone else, this is 1 good film (man of mystery), 1 average film (they spy who shagged me) and 1 poor film (goldmember) all together in a rather nice looking box.

The second 2 films left me a bit cold to be honest, but if you Myers or these films then you cant really do worse than this good value boxset.

I was hugely looking forward to watching these two so finally got them using the Amazon Rental thingy. People had been going on about how they weren't just for kids and what great films they were. Well, I'm sorry, but I just don't get it. They were both pretty dull. Thin plots, poor songs and musical numbers (apart from the last number in Shrek 2), annoying characters (in a more realistic film someone would have shot the Donkey ten minutes in).

Maybe I'm just an old grouch, but I fell asleep twice during the second one and the first wasn't much better.

Really funny film, possibly the best from all of the Austin Powers films. Didnt give it a 5 star because I found Beyonce pretty irritating all the way through but there were so many hilarious scenes it made little difference. Well worth a purchase!

After receiving a note from her parents, Fiona, Shrek and Donkey head on a journey to Far Far Away where Shrek comes under the wrath of the King.

Shrek 2 was one of the most anticipated and well received animated sequels in recent years and broke many records, and is easy to see why with fun characters, daft humour and a very strong likability factor.

After winning an Oscar for the first, a sequel was always inevitable and though not as good as the first, this comedy still packs plenty of jokes in with the same and more loveable characters.

Myers, Murphy, Diaz all return to their respective roles, and Antonio Banderas comes in for the very cool Puss in Boots. John Cleese as the King, Julie Andrews as the Queen and the star ... Read More:

If you like incredibly stupid films with sad and very low brow "comedy" with almost no plot to it then this is the film for you!!!

I knew from the trailer that this would be a dumbed down film, but this was REALLY dumb, think Bill and Ted's adventure (which I like) and divide the comedy by at least half and times the stupidity level by at least 4 and you'll have a good idea as to how good this is or NOT!!!

I like Mike Myers, I own all of the Austin Powers films to date and love that kind of humour, Wayne's World is almost totally devoid of any of this humour, it's no surprise that his co-star for this film Dana Carvey has hardly worked in film since Wayne'e World 2 as he had very little talent in the first place.

Almost a total waste ... Read More:

Mike Myers (Shrek) writes and stars in this spy spoof sequel as Dr Evil travels back to the 60's to steal Austin's mojo in a plan to take over the world.

International man of mystery was excellent, goofy yet sophisticated with daft humour and interesting characters and a real comedy take on the spy genre. This critically acclaimed sequel follows the same route with the same weird and wonderful central protagonist Austin Powers who has a new sidekick, Felicity Shagwell, played with some charm by Heather Graham.

Myers also throws in an array of new characters, all comically arranged for extra humour, such as Mini Me, Fat B*****d and Robin Spitz Swallows, all interesting and crude in their own way, a useful technique in the spoof genre.

DVD : Shrek [2001]
As a book is opened, and Shrek tells the story of a prince and a princess and utters the words "Like that's ever going to happen" does the film engage the audience and set the tome for a thoroughly enjoyable family adventure with good comedy, interesting protagonists and an entertaining narrative.

When we first see Shrek's appearance we instantly gasp, but are instantly laughing and amazed as the credits role and observe an Ogre in his natural habitat, bathing in mud and eating gross things. This opening is very inviting and invites us into an unknown world and the life of a different character that is far from your average looking everyday hero. Shrek, a big and nasty looking man, is a symbol, an icon if you will, of defying odds and true hope. A sweet and tear jerking ... Read More:
