'Shoot em up' (SEU), the film. Inane? An implausible plot? Avoid at all costs? I do not think so. Yes we already know it's not a serious film, so why attempt to analyse it in the same way as a film that professes to have a hidden or deep message?

The title alone implies the action and plot line of a simple video game and this is the heart of the matter. Anybody that has ever played 'Time Crisis' using a 'Light Gun' will testify to that. Kill the baddies and save the girl. Simple. The plot is hardly relevant.

In SEU, a baby has been added to the plot line to add some more fun. The one-liners are very good, and the scriptwriters have shared them fairly between the characters, so all the scenes are subject to humourous ... Read More:

We are all Frankies and do not ignore this review just because i am an agnostic. I find this pish-swill movie to be a 2 hour S&M flesh-feast, with scenes consisting of homoerotic, anti-Semitism and unnecessary violence.

It is boring, monotonous, and painfully earnest and hyper-stylised unnecesary celluloid abortion.

While I find its theological underpinnings medieval and vile, it simply isn't good cinema, as it fails to push beyond the shocking imagery of watching the king of the Jews get whipped, gouged, smacked, and kicked with gleeful abandon.

Nice one Mel Gibson, you Jew hater.

2/10. Brendan theJewBasher.

This is a full blooded Terry Gilliam film. It defies easy categorisation as all his films do. It's a morality tale, a swashbuckling adventure, a wicked comedy, a fantasy romp and a horror film all rolled into one.

It features excellent performances from all the leads, including an outstanding turn from Matt Damon as a preening, vain, overconfident con-man. The Bourne films clearly only use 1% of his acting ability - and here we get a full tour de force.

If you liked Munchhausen, if you liked Brazil - then you will love this.

If you want Van Helsing, a swords and corsets historical romance or you like your films explained to you every 5 minutes - then run away now...

This film divides people. There are those who think it is a sequel that attempts to broaden the ideas of the first movie, to explore the powerful ideas of freewill vs predetermination. Possibly it is even an explanation of religion; how can man have freewill if there is an omnipotent creator? There are others who think that this is a pompous, overblown, self important, humourless pile of rubbish. I fall into the latter category.

I LOVE the first film. It's fantastic, and whizzes by in a blur. A great central idea, great effects and it keeps moving along at a thousand miles an hour. But then the Wachowskis tried to get all intellectual on us. This sequel is too long, it has an impenetrable script, it thinks it is too clever, it thinks we care about Zion ... Read More:

i chose this as my free title when i purchased the samsung blu-ray player, but admit i was a bit sceptical of whether it would be any better viewed this way. i had seen the film before, so was able to compare it to that experience.
well i was very impressed, the colours were much more vibrant and the detail was fantastic. as for the film well i enjoyed that too. there was none of this shooting from the waist and gettin a headhot shot rubbish. it looked very professional, though i am sure some armed forces members would disagree.

the movie (storyline ect.) i give 10/10
picture/sound Quality i give 10/10

a worth while purchase.

First of all, I am not religious, at all, but it didn't stop The Passion of The Christ from having an extremely powerful effect on me. It is very moving, and can teach you a lot about yourself...and other people, who unfortunately "know not what they do" if you know what I mean. For me, The Passion of The Christ's main messages that came across on screen were:

1- people say/do bad things, and worst, and either aren't able to comprehend the affect that their actions have on others, or just ignore it because they do know, but still aren't able to stop themselves from inflicting pain onto others.

2- when someone says/does something bad to you, you should accept that some people just can't help themselves, and you should try hard to treat everyone as well as ... Read More:
