Did not get into Skins until the second series so missed a lot of the best parts of it. I watched a couple of episodes of the second series and was blown off during it. As such missed a lot of it so decided to get the box set and have not regretted. I watched the whole first series in a single sitting - amazing. When it came to the second series I was thinking no way could they match the first but all credit to 4, Skins is a real pull back and a great drama. Get it and don't look back for Skins is good.

I thought both series 1 and series 2 were excellent. At 50, I am not a teenager and wonder why this was classified as a 'teen drama'. Well acted, a little surreal at times. It showed me that teens today and are no different to when I was a teen-we got up to the same things. The series shows how life is not the doddle for teens that many older people seem to think.
From the end of series 2 it seems there might not be a season 3? Quite why anyone would follow my opinion I don't know but I would recommend this series to teens and elders alike. Great stuff.

4.Love Actually/Notting Hill/About A Boy starring: Toni Collette, Julia Roberts, Bill Nighy, Liam Neeson, Laura Linney

I have to say that this was a good little film as far as the cast is concerned. It's really interesting to see how Nicholas Hoult has aged and matured since About A Boy(2002) Emily Watson is also very engaging and attractive but I just found the idea of that poor boys Dad being an alcoholic a bit too much.

Richard E. Grant is also a very good actor indeed, and this was a worthy effort. Rent it first, though.

The movie is quite serious for a long duration. It is debatable to view The Weatherman as a funny movie. The comments written in the front cover as being comedy can be slightly misleading, as it really hard to define the movie category.

It is about Chicago number 1 weatherman known as Dave Spirtz. Nicholas Cage played the role superbly and demonstrates to viewers the inside life of a successful TV personality. His personal life is a complete mess. A majority of the movie emphaisis is directed to the personal aspect. The main troubles he experiences in the personal life are a failed marriage, adnormal kids and an ill father potrayed wonderfully by Michael Caine, even though the attempts at an American accent are feeble, but he is an accomplished actor.

Skins was pretty much the first teen sitcom that was targeted at 14-20 year olds but with the censor of 18 (others are Hollyoaks & Home & Away).
Skins is about six friends living in northern England (despite the varied accents of the young cast).
It could be argued that Tony is the star of the show, he's the typically cocky, good looking guy who is able to get out of any bad situation he faces. The sitcom (of a mere 8 episodes) follows the six teens, the first few episodes are insights into the most prominent characters.
I think the main thing that separates us Brits form our American cousins is how we like our sitcoms, in contrast with One Tree Hill or The OC Skins is gritty & the actors are all under the age of twenty, & their parents ... Read More:
