I am suprised by the low scores series 11 recieved. We watched all the series but like many got bored arounf series 9 and stopped watching. Having since enjoyed comedy like Curb Y E and Conchords - We thought this would be embarrassingly bad. Well blow me over - it is excellent - very funny, just as well written, and once again VERY FUNNY - Nils< Fraise and their Dad play it very well - WELL RECOMMENDED

'Frasier' season 10 attempts to claw back some of the comedy lost by the previous two seasons, which ran the risk of turning the show into a drama series. Unfortunately, the writers seem to believe that adding high farce and new characters are the ways to revitalise the show; wrong on both counts. Making Daphne's mother (played by Millicent Martin) a regular character is an insane decision, a fifth wheel who only serves to antagonise the other characters (and the viewers!) Season 9 of Frasier is arguably the weakest of the show so far. I give it only 3 stars, with a heavy heart, but I am judging it against the previous seasons, which have been generally outstanding. There are some very funny moments between Frasier and Niles but you get the feeling Frasier needs to move on. I enjoyed "Room Full of Heroes", "Bla-Z-Boy", "The Love You Fake" and "Cheerful Goodbyes" but there are no standout episodes of comic farce that would enter the hall-of-fame (like season 4's "Ham Radio" or season 5's "The Ski Lodge"). Season 8 is another enjoyable run of witty and intelligent humour from Dr. Frasier Crane and friends. This is the season when after all the near misses Niles and Daphne finally get together. The season started strongly by continuing immediately from where Daphne leaves husband-to-be Donny at the altar, to be with Niles. However Frasier is still single and searching for his true soul-mate. The middle of the series was relatively weak as it required the design of stories to accommodate Jane Leeves' (Daphne) real-life pregnancy. However, things got good again by the end of the season. All in all, this is a good series. But I think that there are a few filler episodes, one of the really annoying parts for me, is the fact that Roz gets a rubbish storyline, while the orthers ie Frasier, Martin and Daphne's storylines have grown with each series. The stand out episode for me is Roz the Shnoz, a bit silly but very funny. Again there are no behind the scenes films for the DVD.

This is where the sophisticated series gets started. It isn't quite at its best by this point, but the material is very funny indeed. Strongly recommended.

Superb - and a bargain at less than £14 for 24 episodes. Just buy it. Why is there nothing like this on (UK)TV nowadays?

As always, Frasier is wonderfully scripted and brilliantly acted, by all the cast, including ,of course, a dog. Be warned however, that Frasier is 'out of work' for alot of this series, and it does make you realise, that without his radio show, the series loses its hook. Other that, faultless, and worth purchase alone for Merry Christmas Mrs Moskovitz - a brilliant episode.

This series is worth buying for 'The Matchmaker' alone. It's an episode that telegraphs its intentions from the outset but never misses an opportunity to crank up the signature cringe factor. I don't think there's ever been a more perfectly crafted and beautifully performed 30mins of sit-com, and I would argue that it is without peer in the genre. It is, quite simply, masterful.

I agree with pretty much all of the above reviews. I would like to comment on the b-ray presentation, Picture quaality in nigh on suberb unfortunately, I did notice several scenes littered throughout the movie where backgrounds suffered from posterization. Now, I'm not sure if these flaws were present in the original picture or not. Scenes like Aki's ship landing in the opening 3:20, in the council chambers at 21:07 etc. For me that cost the review 1 star. Sound quality is faultless.
