As the annual vegetable competition draws nearer, Wallace and Gromit are in charge of protecting the town's vegetables, but a vegetable monster is causing havoc for the famous British animated characters.

Audiences were treated with some wonderful animated shorts involving a barmy inventor and his faithful companion in half an hour adventures, and then after 5 years in the making, we were treated to a visually stunning, fun and clever film.

The animation and visual effects are as wonderful as you could hope for, even outclassing a number of Pixar films, and those 5 years weren't wasted as Wallace and Gromit won an Oscar for Best Animated film.

The plot and humour, though not perfect, are thoroughly enjoyable ... Read More:

This series is Peter Kay at his best. The characters a great, very funny typical Northern humour, using grat local actors. I didn't get to see much of it when it was on TV because of the shifts I was working, but since I got this it's hardly ever been out of the DVD player.

Unlike the BBC with Only Foos and Horses, Channel 4 has seen fit to treat one of it's best appropriately. There's plenty of out takes and deleted scenes as extras. It's all filmed near where I come from too, so it reminds me of home to boot. Well worth the money and a definite MUST HAVE for all Peter Kay fans.

I loved this when it was on TV. Great guest stars, and brilliant to spend a bit more time with the characters. The extras look great too.

Excellent, just keeps you laughing with simple but extremely effective humour. Kay and McGuinness are a great double-act and some cracking episodes and cameos (Noddy Holder). Hopefully the boys will return to the Phoenix in the not-so-distant future!

This series contains one of my favourite ever scenes in any comedy. The scene where Max and Paddy are stealing the plasma TV from Dixons dressed as 2 ambulance men, only to find when they get back to their mobile home that they haven't got the speakers is, for me, nothing short of sheer genius. Some people say it's weaker than Pheonix Nights, but to me it's every bit as good. There's plenty of extras and, as for the fitness DVD, well, let's just say that my gym workouts haven't been the same since, nor will they ever be again! Anyone who buys this will see what I mean.

From what I could hear of the show I would really agree with all the other reviews about how funny PK is. Unfortunately since my hearing was damaged I can't watch tv without subtitles anymore. There is no subtitle option on this dvd, which is a real shame cos it wouldn't have been that hard I'm sure. I know I missed a lot of what he said and I'm a bit narked about it Peter if you're reading, OK?!

This film is a popular film and is well cited as an influence to both musical artists and film makers alike but i found this to be far too much waffle for my liking and it seemed to last an age and this wasnt what i hoped for when i finally watched this for the first time.
James woods is a television channel producer who is always on the lookout for the next big thing that can shock his viewers, when he views what appears to be a snuff movie he wants to meet those responsible and here his world changes, debbie harry plays his love interest and she does very well here but this film doesnt move me in any way,the twist at the end is poor and i couldnt take to anyone in the film at all,the special effects are good for the year but apart from that i thought this ... My son loves Roary and he enjoys the extras where he can "meet the characters" and then test himself. A good kids DVD.

I had seen a couple of sketches on youtube (I live abroad) and was amused enough to order this. I found the DVD very disappointing, the sketches were too long and repetitive. The humourous bits were very few and far between.

Buy this for the excellent 2 parter Impossible Planet & Satan Pit. At last we see the Doctor on another planet with a fantastic story line. Excellent choice of villain - similarity to Pyramids of Mars with the same actor doing the voice of Sutekh / the Beast(excellent Gabriel Woolf). This has elements of Resident Evil / Alien etc and is the best Tennant Adventure to date.
The paradox is 'Love & Monsters' which is awful. A good idea but it really doesn't work within DW. I watched 10 minutes of this before switching off. It's psuedo reality TV which is just as brain numbing and plain boring as the real thing
The best & the worst of the new series Doctor Who
