For some time (almost 2 years) I have known about, and waited patiently for this Reese Witherspoon production; wondering if it ever would come to fruition on DVD in the U.K. On 12th August, I found it in a local Super-Market, and bought my copy there and then.

I have to say that my first thoughts when I watched it for the fist time were not very complementary. But, unusually for me after such thoughts, I let the film continue, watching it to the Happy Ending that it duly deserved. As I watched that first time, the film slowly "GREW ON ME", to the point where I couldn't walk away and forget it; I just HAD TO WATCH TO THE END.

It's a fable about a young (25-year-old) woman, Penelope, played by Christina Ricci (who ... Read More:

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Okay, there will be people who won't 'get' this film, but it's one of the best films ever made, and just gets better every time you watch it. Bale, for me, is the best actor of his generation. He is amazing as Bateman, and nails (no pun intended - okay maybe it was a bit) the role perfectly. This is a brilliant satire, and if you've hung around round Wall Street or the City of London, then you'll know people like him. I'm off to get some new business cards right now...

I watched this on a whim. At nearly two hours long I kind of expected it to be one of those oh hurry up movies but I watched in a one-r and never checked the clock once.

Really well made movie, well filmed, matching music, good acting, good story. Not a light movie, makes you think. Well worth watching.

A nice change from the usual heaviness of period drama's, I really enjoyed this.

Very light-hearted and some laugh out loud moments. Colin Firth and Rupert Everett work well together and form a funny double act.

I was surprised that I actually liked Reece Witherspoon in this as I usually find her a bit irritating.

Another great performance from Judi Dench, what period drama is complete without her!

Definately worth a watch.

Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy) stars as Kathryn, a manipulative woman who places a bet with her step brother Sebastian that he can't get the principal's stepdaughter Annette into bed.

Based on Choderlos de Laclos' novel, Cruel Intentions brings a dark and sexy tale of lies, manipulation and romance to our screens in a dramatic and diverse way, with superb acting and excellent direction and acting.

The lead three actors, Gellar, Phillippe (Flags of our fathers) and Witherspoon (Walk the line) are all tremendous in their respective roles and do the plot justice by giving sexy and sophisticated performances in one of the sexiest dramas of the 90's.

The plot is very character driven, which was helped along by these great performances. ... Read More:

This is a movie to be enjoyed by all Cash fans. The two main actors give very good performances including the songs. I thought the portrayal of June Carter to be particularly attractive. Of course much is condensed from the real biography and at times I was glad I had some knowledge of it to understand the film. Similarly, while the songs were fine, the spoken dialogue was often unclear to me so i was glad I knew the basic story. It is a good portrayal of a troubled, turbulent great talent. Now I want to go and play the songs again.

This is a comedy-drama detailing the story of Elle Wood onetime fashion major student at University of California and her transformation from a `superficial blonde air-head' to a `brilliant Harvard law graduate'. All this having come about because her boyfriend, Warner Huntingdon the 3rd dumped her on getting admitted to Harvard Law. In pursuit of him she passed the SAT and got into Harvard Law only to find that he was now engaged to his old flame, another Law student called Vivian. When it became obvious that he will never consider her good enough for him, she had to go into self discovery mode to prove that she was as academically brilliant as the rest of them, if not better. This movie is laced with great comedy while telling a great story on self discovery, self believe and the ... Read More:

What can I say? I had doubts on this film but the chemistry between the two of them works superbly, the acting is 10/10 and its such a beautiful story. An ultimate love story classic

For me in the movies, few things are as satisfying as watching two old pros who have the game down cold play a scene together. In Twilight, when the old pros include Paul Newman and Gene Hackman, I can have a very good time. The old pros also include Susan Sarandon and James Garner, in a tale of murder, blackmail and regret.

Harry Ross (Paul Newman) is a retired cop who has been living in Los Angeles with his friends Catherine Ames (Susan Sarandon) and Jack Ames (Gene Hackman). The Ames were big movie stars once, but now Jack Ames is dying of cancer. Catherine Ames first husband disappeared mysteriously twenty years ago. Now it appears Jack and perhaps Catherine are being blackmailed about just what actually happened to the guy. Jack asks Harry to deliver a package of money ... Read More:
