i am a huge fan of chris rock and Down to Earth is one of my favourate movies of all time but his one was rubbish there are one or two funny moments but apart from that there is nothing not even a cheap laugh to keep you going. A massive problem is his female co-star who is supposed to be the love of his life but he only meets her twice and the lack of chemistry between the two of them and her uninspiring performance makes you want to cry! Chris rock is far better in down to Earth, buy that instead.

If you don't take heed to another thing you read, please take heed to these reviews. I didn't and now I join the ranks of regretful watchers! Please note that I can't even bring myself to rate this production (but I see I HAVE to at least give it an overly generous 1). I got myself comfy with a bottle of wine and settled in to take in my purchase. 15mins into it I realised that not even the wine I desperately clung to would help me get through this dreadful attempt at entertainment. To summerise the most entertaining thing about this poor production is the reviews on this page and it's such a shame as I'm a huge fan of Terrence Howard. :-(

I really enjoyed this film. In fact I must have liked it, considering over the past couple of months I have been remembering some of the scenes from it, which leads me to believe this is a must have in my DVD collection.

I found this movie to not only be moving, but had some really great performances. Lets leave out Mr. Murphy for a moment and think about some of the others who really gave it their all. For instance, the lovely and talented Halle Berry. I think this movie really was able to show some depth, which helped in kick starting her movie career. David Alan Grier, well I think he did such a great job and probably not given as much credit as he should have had when this movie came out. Bravo Mr. Grier! You were the man up ... Read More:

DVD : Dangerous Intentions [1995]
A mother of a young girl. Abused by her husband, Donna Mills plays the role of an abused mother. Corben Bersen plays the abusive husband. An emotional film. Donna Mills is brilliant, the violence scenes are very realistic. A journey through a womans sorrow and a story of her breaking free. Lots of sad moments, have tissues ready. But in the end everything is ok! Great film!

DVD : Rage in Harlem [1991] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
I think this is an underrated classic. A story of gold,double-cross,love,revenge and death all served up with great humour nicely by the main characters. The acting is great especially Forest Whittaker as the loser who eventually comes good. Robin Givens is superb and sexy in this role as she steals the gold from her partners and goes on the run. The late great Gregory Hines is also in top form as Whittaker's brother who is only interested in the gold at first. Badja Djola plays a memorably vicious villain and Danny Glover pops up as a rival gangster who "had another dream" about Givens - much to the fury of Djola. This film has some great comic moments. The music score by Elmer Bernstein is also superb.

OK movie and funny characters.

Based on four friends, who come together for the wake of an old college friend who passed. They all went to college together and re-uniting means bringing up the past which can be painful for some. Jealously and love raises its ugly head and trouble is not far behind.

OK, movie with a few laughs. Also Robin Givens is quite funny in this movie.
