I started watching NCIS midway through season 3. I really enjoyed it so decided to get the season 1 box set. I'm glad I did. It is filled with action, excellent storylines and a wonderful cast. I have heard people compare this to CSI, this is nothing like CSI, it stands on it's own and shouldn't be put together with other crime shows. Highly recommended.

A friend of mine bought me this box set when I was worried about getting a job with my somewhat unconventional dress sense. He told me to 'keep an eye out for Abby'. I soon found out he was talking about Abby Sciuto, the Goth forensic scientist.
Now, don't get me wrong, I am addicted to NCIS for reasons other than Abby (namely - the interaction between the characters is fantastically scripted, the plots are genius, and each and every one of the characters have very unique points that set them apart from the other identikit crime show teams. NCIS is very much a character-driven series, and each character is utterly believeable) but Abby rocks. Seriously.
If you like crime shows with tension, drama, humour and fantastic characters, NCIS is for ... Read More:

Six seasons in and still a good watch. Good characters, story lines. But although David Caruso is a still the key actor of the series, his acting just never improves. He^s now a characterture of himself. He slowly walks on, takes off his sunglasses, tilts his head on the side and delivers his lines. Head straightened as putting sunglasses back on and slowly walks away. Either sadness or light happiness shown only on the face while head tilted. This is every single episode, every single season. His body is so stiff it hardly moves. It is tedious seeing this same repetitive routine from him every episode. You wish he would loosen up and give his acting/the character more life.

It's a mark of how wildly over budget Mission: Impossible 2 went and how generous its star's deal was that despite an impressive-on-paper gross of $550m Paramount constantly cancelled a third entry as unprofitable, even paying off cast and writing off South African second-unit work already in the can until the budget was halved and Tom Cruise agreed to substantially reduce his percentage of the take - by which time original director Joe Carnahan had already walked out over that old favourite, `creative differences,' and an entirely new story come up with. Hardly the most promising of omens for a franchise that always seemed little more than an excuse for its star to play James Bond. Yet despite the bad track record for Hollywood threequels, Mission: Impossible III ... Read More:

Having recently purchased NCIS season 1 I decided to invest in season 2 as well. What a great show. It's still as entertaining as ever and has some wonderful storylines. The best episode in the series I think is SWAK. In this season Sean Murray becomes a regular and he makes a wonderful addition to the cast. This is a mut buy for any NCIS fan.

Anyone could take the premise of this story and make a decent film out of it - anyone except director Chris Hall, apparently. I really don't know what to make of Lucky 13; it's a romantic comedy with very little romance or comedy. It plods along, basically emotionless and lethargic, meandering all over the place like a distracted child. You wait for the ending, sure that you'll finally find a payoff for all the torturous buildup. Nope - just more frustration. Maybe it's just me, but the ending of this film doesn't even make sense. If there's a point to all this, it must be about as sharp as a plastic knife.

Zach Baker (Brad Hunt) is a loser from a dysfunctional family. All of his life, the girl-next-door has been Abbey (Gilmour Girl's Lauren Graham), ... Read More:
