I bought te set in August from amazon.com. We live in Japan which is really slow at showing new programmes from the US and UK and in the summer of they were still showing season 3! We couldn't wait and weren't disappointed. The medical cases as really bizarre and the new situation of House creating a new team is highly entertaining (although Foreman's position is not quite clear and doesn't quite fit the new situation it seems ... and its a bit strange to see Cameron more smiley and jolly). You do lose a bit of fizz towards the end of the series (the new team don't have that snap crackle pop like the old ones). However, the last two episodes are brilliant! It's just a shame the series was so short. The extras on the DVD set are a bit better ... Read More:

This is great stuff, hugely good fun and absorbing from the get go. The script and performances are great (check out Edwin Torres' books Carlito's Way and After Hours - both the basis for this and stunning reading) and the film delivers in every way. Some fine action and pretty much iconic scenes and you have a real winner.

A brilliant film, perhaps a word too often used, but nontheless, brilliant. Penn's consitency of performance is the key, ably supported by the main characters and cameo's from a few other good actors taking bit parts. Excellent and recommended.

The "Thin red line" is film as it should be made, as an art form rather than entertanment. Whoever did the cinematography for this film is a pure genius as it is truly mesmerizing. Id recommend this film to anyone who actually likes good films and wants to get away from the tripe that is currently being made by the bucket load. Although after watching this film it does make you wonder why dont we have more films like this being made on a regualr basis???

I really love execution films and this is one of the very best, probably only behind The Green Mile in my opinion.

Susan Sarandon quite rightly won an Academy award for her performance in this film and after just watching Nicholas Cage in Leaving Las Vegas, I simply can not believe that Sean Penn did not join her in picking up the award himself, they are both simply breathtaking, showing a very wide range of all-round acting skills.

This is much more about the convict (Sean Penn) going through various stages as his time of execution approaches, from anger, to sorrow and acceptance of the the punishment he faces due to the crime that he committed.

It also highlights the injustice of the American system, money can buy jail time, ... Read More:

The Interpreter is not that exciting and it does not have so many twists and turns in the plot that it is too interesting either, but it is a competently made film with good dialogue and has two fine performances from sean penn and nicole kidman to keep the viewer watching. It is the chemistry between these two and their shared suffering that make the film worth seeing.
