Perhaps the funniest Kevin Smith film upto now. Jay and Silent Bob return, this time as the leading characters of their own movie. Other characters make pleasant yet brief returns. This film is more whacky than any other Kevin Smiths pervious movies, but be warned its not for everyone. If your a foul-mouthed, pot smoking, comic loving, red-bloodied male .... then this film will be hard to dislike. If you like more sutble and tasteful comedy ... then maybe this isnt for you. Out of all Kevin Smiths films that I have watched, this is the best yet.

Thirteen Ghosts is a remake of a 1960's film of the same title created by the brilliant William Castle. The film follows a man and his children who become trapped in a ghost ridden house that they've inherited from Cyrus (the man's eccentric uncle.) Trapped along with them are a psychic, a lawyer, and a ghost hunter. Thirteen Ghosts is a bit different from your standard horror, and it goes without saying that I doubt that this it's the kind of film that everyone will find scary. But for me at least it worked. As this is probably one of the greatest ghost films I've ever seen. The bathroom scene especially, which has been done really well comes to mind. Not to mention when the lawyer 'splits.' If you've seen and liked the previous seasons then you'll want this because the stuck in '79 hasn't yet wore thin. Despite ANOTHER Christmas episode, season 7 doesn't make you think "wow, this has been done abit too much". It lives up to the rest other seasons with ease.

I have to say I'm envious of the writers of this show. They've written series after series of this show (I'm currently half way through series 7, and will be gutted when it ends) - and it never gets boring. There's very rarely an episode that goes by that doesn't make me laugh, and have tears (of mirth) rolling down my cheeks. That 70s Show is hilarious. Many other programmes would have gotten boring long before now, but the writers clearly have a skill that keep fans watching, and keeps the characters developing. It's a shame that the original 'Laurie' didn't continue to play the part, just as her role becomes a little more focussed in this series as the new one doesn't pack such a punch. I don't know what it is about this film but I like it, A quirky story with a good twist and some great creepy special effects will keep you entertained, The blueray itself is very good, picture quality is extreamly sharp and sound does the trick with some great scary surround effects. the best way to describe this film is ghostbusters meets hellraiser but unfortunatly not as good as either. What I watched it on. Panasonic 42px60 (plasma 1080i) playstation 3 blu-ray player (HDMI) JVC th-v70r surround sound (optical) (dolby digital 5.1) (inc tannoy m1 front L/R speakers)
