DVD : Party At The Palace [2002]
If the producers of this DVD were so pressed for time, surely we could have lost some of the more dreadful and totally out of their depth "acts" such as S Club Seven and preserved once in a life time moments such as McCartney singing "Her Majesty" to the Queen (who definitely was not amused by it!).

Other than that an OK record of the night.

Have to say I'm amazed by the comments praising Will Young's slaughtering of "I Heard It Through The Grapevine". Sorry, but my idea of soul is not a grating, nasal whine with the occasional flat note. Almost as embarrasing as him twittering and twitching beside James Brown at Scottish Live 8 while the seventy-odd year old Brown wiped the floor with him.

Appalling.

This is a great concert DVD. The concert is in 16:9 anamorphic widescreen, and some of the extras (like short documentaries) are in 4:3. You even get a selection of different camera angles for some songs in the concert (though on one DVD player the bit where the alternate angles were available displayed a big graphic across the whole screen - but that's the player's fault not the DVD's. It was better on a Blu-ray player but not all of them have a button labelled "angle" to change the angle while the concert is still playing - so on some players you need to press Info first then scroll down to change it).

Picture Quality: Good picture considering it's an SD DVD and an older DVD (so probably didn't use HD/digital cameras), and it's probably ... Read More:

As always with the Corrs, this is a fantastic DVD to watch. They simply have fun!

i have just one criticism of the production: Too often there are stray cameramen darting out of view from another camera. Stay still and you are less conspicuous!

If you like to watch a bunch of musicians simply having fun together, watch this.

The music is obviously excellent - but turn the volume down and it's still amazing to watch. The smiles, the laughter, and the communication within the group is brilliant.

This DVD is worth every penny. Disc 1 is a very good documentary about the Corrs of a kind that you'd not be likely to see on terrestrial television and Disc 2 is a film of the Geneva concert in November 2004. My advice to anyone buying this DVD is to watch Disc 2 first and enjoy the concert. The concert is great and a appetiser for the documentary on Disc 1. Caroline missed a lot of the gigs on the Borrowed Heaven tour because she was having her second baby and it's nice to see her at the Geneva concert. The documentary contains a lot of very interesting footage of the Corrs in their early days and that scene in The Commitments where Andrea uses some rather un-ladylike language (but it doesn't seemed to have harmed her future image). The talking head interviews ... Read More:

DVD : The Corrs - Live - Unplugged [1999]
The Corrs have been famous now for quite some time as the mainly female talented Irish traditional rock/pop band with a really fresh approach. With super talent you can't help being drawn into this musical dvd with the small studio close-ups and absolutely breathtaking surround sound. The title "No Frontiers" almost explains the quality of this top notch musical effort with hits such as Runaway,At your side and So Young stealing the limelight as well as the fantastic instrumental of Toss the feathers. This is a highly under-rated musical dvd which is guaranteed to entertain if you like the Corrs or into this genre of music and maybe even if your not just give it a whirl.....highly recommended
