How such unutterable tripe came to be created is beyond me. Despite distinguished creators, a decent cast and a respectable budget, we got something that was badly written, badly acted and looked cheap. Which doesn't even begin to adequately describe the mind-boggling badness of it all.

Their historical and archaeological advisor seems to have been present only to ensure that all traces of accuracy were removed. Alarm bells already started ringing in my head as soon as the Templars were mentioned - writers of fiction seem unable to escape the rubbish about them being guardians of secret knowledge and all that rot which Dan Brown and a host of pseudo-historians got rich on. Needless to say, 'Bonekickers' jumped on the bandwagon ... Read More:

This is one of these films that would be terrifying if you watched it in the dark. Im not knocking it, it is a fairly scary but its not the jumpiest thing I've ever seen.
Has a confusing ending but it has a good enough story line. Not overly complicated so good for a few good jumps and screams.

If I remember anything about writing composition at primary school it's this, never use the "it was all just a dream" scenario. OK, you realise when you see Kelly fantasising about strangling her mother with her rosary that the opening sequence is just a violent fantasy or dream and you realise that there isn't enough running time left for the ending to tie up with the beginning but even so it was disappointing.

Irvine Welsh's writing reminds me of the old nursery rhyme. When he's good (Trainspotting, Glue, Porno) he's very very good but when he's bad (Ecstasy, Filth) he's awful.

So, what to make of "Wedding Belles"? There's enough classic Welsh to make it darkly funny and very watchable but..........(there's always a but.) ... Read More:

Based on the true story of a German rocket scientist(Gerhard Zucher), who in the years prior to WW2, found himself on the Hebridean Island of Scapa, much to chagrin of the local population, who would have preferred a telephone service.
He eventually overcomes their hostility and falls in love with a local lass.
This is a slow moving, humourous, romantic tale. Beautifully acted and filmed. Almost an idyllic love tale until the Fatherland intervenes.
One of the most moving films I have watched in a number of years and deserves much wider recognition.
Highly recommended.

DVD : The Debt Collector [1999]
The Debt Collector is another British crime film that doesn't add up to much. A Scottish variation on Les Miserables, it sees Ken Stott's typically bitterly furious cop stalking reformed debt collector turned artist Billy Connolly on the mean streets and leafy suburbs of Edinburgh, here shot in such oppressive and dark tones that it looks more like a Victorian prison than a holiday destination. Iain Robertson offers strong support as a hero-worshipping little gobs**te, but by the time the inevitable confrontation takes place without any great revelation you find yourself wondering if this journey was really necessary.

This movie is good.

If the pacing would have been faster and the acting would have been better it would have been a classic. It's still a good slasher to watch on night. Definatley original.

Watch it if you like slashers, but you have been warned that if you are an adult who wouldn't like santa to be a killer then don't watch it.

Don't watch the sequel "Part 2". It realy sucked.

I'm not sure about the 3rd. I wana see it though.

Can anyone tell me how i can get the third one to the uk please on dvd or if it is also sold in the uk on vhs let me know.

Cheers for reading.

Oh and as the reviewer said above the one above me "This movie is not for kids!"
