What a heart pounding thriller. Plots about assassinations are always exciting but this had a particular twist to it, being that the same event was repeated from different character's perspectives. What follows is a hair-raising helter skelter of events, each character noticing different significant moments that no one else knew of. A really good film and some stunning performances from Quaid and Hurt.

This is one of the best films I've seen in ages - funny, touching and close to the book. It leaps from past to present, story to real life easily and effectively, and ties up Kissin' Kate Barlow, Madame Zerone and the Warden well, mixing up the stories as seamlessly as the book does. It is a beautiful adaption of the book - the screenplay was written by Louis Sachar himself, which means that it's been done exactly as he meant it to be. Writing is making a film in your head, and this is exactly the kind of film he was writing.

The first two Alien films are amazingly good, & the rest are well worth watching but less excellent. This is a great collection & good value for money.

They're the best, they're the beautiful, they're the only GHOSTBUSTERS. Arguably one of the best sci-fi comedies of the 80's or that of any decade. With the talented Bill Murray at the helm and Dan Ackroyd, Harold Ramis. Ernie Hudson not far behind. Its a great peice of classic nostalgia from our childhood. Containing both ghostbuster films personally we think that ghostbusters 2 is better GO VIGO!! and a handful of special features though not as many as you get in the ghostbusters 1 set but you do get two episodes of the classic ghostbuster cartoon. A worthwhile purchase but if you want a comprehensive ghostbusters film buy the ghostbusters 1 special edition.

I've watched this film at least 10 times. It's simply hilarious. It's not actually taking the mickey out of Star Trek, rather a tribute to the actors who play in Star Trek. One of the funniest and definitely the most underrated comedy films out there. You need to watch this film a few times to catch all the jokes so it's a perfect DVD purchase. There are so many classic moments such as the captain getting his shirt ripped Captain Kirk style and the Klingon types in the toilet at the Trekkie conference.

This is one of Kevin Klines funniest roles playing the ordinary Joe Dave Kovic who has the appearance that resembles the president. When the president suffers from a severe stroke the government wants Dave to fill in for the president while he is out. When Dave takes on the role of the president and and has to take on the life that the president left behind for him like the first lady played by Sigourney Weaver who hated him. Dave needs to take on his relationship with the first lady, his advisor's played by Frank Langella and Kevin Dunn (the only people who know who Dave really is) ,and the country. Memorable Kline film in a brilliant double role.

This film is comedy gold...still classic and funny and also fresh!!! The script is so sharp and dry and the characters totally lovable!! Loved it when I was a kid BUT love it more now.

From the sweeping opening scene, with that classic 'Let the River Run' playing across it, to the closing camera pan-out, with Griffiths in her office, fading into a wall of similar offices, a great film. There is a similar vein to 'Educating Rita', with the underdog, stuck where everyone else thinks she's happy, breaking out and making something of it. But this is a US film, with a lot of hairspray (oh, the 80s!), immature corporate bosses, the superbitch, and none of them have time for the secretary with ideas and a brain. The killer scene is where Weaver's character is confronted and suddenly cannot talk her way out. The big scene though is where it dawns on Griffiths that she is the boss, not the secretary - a recurring theme throughout is of her being so used to ... Read More:

Got this DVD frre with a Samsung BDP1500 bluray player so I didn't think it would be very good. How wrong, could I be. Kept me and my family enthralled with its twisting and turning plot. Great action sequences that will keep you on the end of your seat. Absolutely stunning in bluray.
