Great works of art are very much of their time, but have a relevance and impact long afterwards - and this is a great work of art. A simple story - disfunctional couple on the run, but told with great artistry and 'truth', with actors burdgeoning into great careers, and with much to say about US society, disaffection, and the cult of celebrity killers.

The cinematography is groundbreakingly beautiful, and surely the use of music has never been bettered - this movie sears itself into your brain.

Enthralling, gripping, funny, brutal (death is sad and real and pitiful), and simply a benchmark of US film-making that might never be bettered.

How many DVDs do you watch right through the end credits? I found ... Read More:

David Lynch at his very best. I have yet to meet a DL film I don't like, this one didn't disappoint. It was so different to his most recent efforts chronologically and far more soothing and simple to follow. Angelo Badalamenti score was dreamy too.

This film is pure genius. For some reason, someone gave it 1 star saying it was the worst film. I have no idea where this persons sense of humour was that day...... This is no Anchorman or Superbad?? This film is on par with all the great comedys of recent years. I only know one person who did not like this film and they do not like Anchorman either. Out of the people I know, I am the only person who owns this and everyone is always asking to borrow it and they have it for a lengthy amount of time. I think that speaks volumes.

I was very surprised at how brilliant this film was as I had never heard of it before seeing it on Amazon. I can't believe I missed it at the cinema. From the start, this hits you in the face with laugh ... Read More:

I have just brought this title after seeing the film on sky movies, I have not read the book, but Im not sure I need to.
I dare anyone to watch this and not be thinking about it and the
questions it raises for days afterwards. It is an absolutely brilliant and thought provoking film, especially when Jesse returns, youl understand this sentence if you watch the film.
It leaves me with many thoughts to think about and I have now watched this four times and still end up thinking deeply about it afterwards. The romance added in the film which apparently isnt in the book, just makes the film and makes for alot more deep thinking. A truly wonderful film and I dont say this lightly I dont think Ive ever reviewed anything else I have read or seen. ... Read More:

Missing [1982]
The true, unsolved story of the disappearance of US journalist Charles Horman in Chile, gives Jack Lemmon the best role in his career. Lemmon plays Ed Horman whose son Charlie, was a somewhat radical writer living in Chile with his wife, Joyse, at the time of the 1973 coup when President Allende was butchered and his struggling government overthrown.
Young Horman was suspicious about the number of top-ranking American Military Officials staying in Chile at the time and could only assume the worst. Not long afterward Horman vanished, apparently another man who knew too much. This is COSTA GRAVAS FIRST AMERICAN MOVIE.

After watching this film, I have absolutely no idea what the point was!

Heather graham plays a girl (Gray) who's best friend is her brother - they live together, they go out together etc. After they are mistaken for a couple, they decide that it is time they found a girlfriend/ boyfriend for each other.
Gray meets a girl called Charlie, who she thinks is perfect for her brother, so introduces them, and within 24 hours they are engaged!
They set the date for the wedding for 2 weeks time, and off they go to get married.
Gray and Charlie have a sort of hen night together the night before the wedding, and share a drunken kiss.
Gray is confused and thinks that she might be gay, but the wedding goes ahead, and Charlie marries Gray's brother.

DVD : JFK - Special Edition Directors Cut (2 Disc Edition) [1991]
Why does the film JFK work? It confirms what most people know to be the truth. That JFK was assassinated by a conspiracy. Whether Clay Shaw was involved or not may never be known but just because there has never been a confession by the powers that be doesnt mean the majority of the ordinary people are silly. (You cannot shoot someone in the back of the head for the head to go backwards. Thats just silly. Its so obvious to the eye that the second shot was fired from the front. The magic bullet theory was also silly. How can a bullet cause so much damage to two men and still look pristine? What happened to the president's brain? Where did it disappear when it was meant to be examined to get the bullet trajectory? Why was a proper autopsy not conducted? How could the chief suspect ... Read More:
