If an Australian seller hadn't misrepresented their Crosby,Stills, and Nash DVDs as Region 1, when in actuality they were Region 2s, I never would have invested in a Regions-free player, and began broadening my horizons, thereby finding this GEM to be not only out-of-print at home, but only available in Blu Ray ! We've never had a 2 disc edition that I'm aware of, and when this one arrived (QUICKLY I might add), my son and I devoured it ! Nearly,or just over 2 hours of extras is a real treat, on top of the crystal clear, vivid widescreen print of the film itself. Thank you AmazonUK.

As the opening credits rolled on this movie I started to get misgivings. A Baldwin brother... but sadly William not Alec, a Thompson sister, unfortunately Sophie and not Emma, a Hollywood actress - but its Jeanne Tripplehorn, one of that breed of B-list American babes who along with the likes of Andie MacDowell happily slum it in British made movies. Julie Andrews leads the lack lustre cast as an aristocratic matriarch in 1950s British society. Many years living in LA have given Dame Julie's accent a strange mid Atantic twang which does not serve her well in this supposedly terribly English role. The plot is not the most intriguing and the script provides no real laughs. The scenery's pretty enough and there's nothing here that would offend your ... Read More:

The highlight of this film is the fight scene in a workshop, where the bad guy is wielding a chainsaw and Baldwin selects various wooden objects to defend himself. This film is CHEAP. If you want a laugh, get Shark Attack 3 The Megaladon instead, starring TVs John Barrowman as an unconvincingly hetero hero.

I heard about this film from the Weird Al song Albuquerque in which the film is mentioned in the context of a nightmare plane flight ending in a crash into a hillside, this is the 'in-flight movie'. Truly it deserves to remain in this context.

I have already revealed myself as a fan of Weird Al so obviously appreciate stupid American comedy however this effort is truly awful. I have never witnessed a film where the main characters are so irritating and repelant. I believe I laughed two times during the course of this movie and my standards were probably lowered through watching it in the first place.

In conclusion I borrowed this DVD from a friend and am glad I didn't waste my money on it, neither should you.

Truly awful. Avoid like the plague. Buy the original and enjoy forever. Don't even imagine this is anywhere even simlar in style to the original. Struggling to give it one star.

It's a well known story about a well known legend, played by a half decent actor - but who told Quaid to play JLL as a halfwit from beginning to end?

I cringed every time he was on screen and it made the whole film an effort to watch, rather than the fun experience it shold have been.

I've only given it one star because Winona Ryder was good as the young wife.

Where does one start with LAST EXIT TO BROOKLYN?
Let's start, as many do, with the book. It is without a doubt a literary masterpiece, littered with low-life characters each leading a loveless existence. When I first read it the intense, pulsing, musical style of the prose often left me breathless. The unbearably dark passages that Selby led me down quite frankly infected my psyche. It is an incredible book. "An urgent ticker tape from hell..." wrote one journalist on its release. Amen to that.

When I purchased this DVD I had not seen the movie adaptation and, to be honest, I slapped it in to my DVD player with a little trepidation. I furrowed my brow, convinced that (as with many adaptations) it would simply be a watered down version ... Read More:

I really love this tv series. It was based around the movie,Young Guns to get the younger teenage auidience.
However, its a lot more than just a teen western series.Anthony Zerbe is featured as old Teaspoon the man in charge of the young pony express riders.Josh Brolin plays Hickock and Stephen Baldwin plays Cody.Yes,they are[loosely]based on Wild Bill and Buffalo Bill.
Theres plenty of action and its a western full of hart and honour in the west. Its up there with Alias Smith and Jones and The High Chapparal as a classic series.

Tom Selleck (best known as Thamas Magnum in the cult television series Magnum P I) return as Jesse Stone in the thrilling prequal to Stone Cold. This film which is set before Stone Cold sees Stone relocated to the small coastal town of Paradise where he becomes embroilled in murder and Money Laundering, with an abusive husband with possible connections to the mob. This is not an action packed "Shoot em up" but is compelling well acted, well written drama at its best. Tom Selleck is excellent as Stone - a role which is far removed from Magnum. I watched this before Stone Cold which does help. Now there are four Jesse Stone tv movies to date. I hope they make alot more - there are plenty of books to adapt.

As a skydiver, I just loved this movie. Sure, it's got the usual stuff (a la Dropzone) of someone going from whuffo to amazing skydiver in a completely unbelievable amount of time but, hey, it's a movie, you suspend disbelief :-)

The plot is a bit thin and a bit Point Break-ish, but not without its moments, especially the emotional conflict - undercover agent goes in and gets seduced by the lifestyle of the people he's tracking and gets to like them. Then it's time to do his job... What really made the movie for me was the skydiving sequences though - there are a lot of them and they are really fun to watch.
