I can watch this film over and over and still enjoy it just as much as the first time. It was a delight. Loved every character. Great humour, honest wit and charm from start to end.

I'm not sure how this quite fantastic film has slipped under my radar for so long (probably the horrible marketing and cover...)
Wonderful cast including John Hurt as a BBC Radiophonic-type Foley artist and his slightly strained marriage to Susannah York. The appearance of a stranger (the ever-dependable, fearsome Alan Bates) creates a cryptic tale of mystery, magic, symbolism, seduction, fact and fiction all blurring in the mind of a 'madman' relating the tale at a surreal cricket match. The titular 'shout' is beautifully understated and the whole film plays out as a classy, subtle piece not a million miles from 'Don't Look Now' in feel (as the cover blurb suggests).
Highly recommended and I'm sure will become more rewarding with repeat ... Read More:

DVD : Rogue [2008] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
Needless to say, after having watched Black Water and now Rogue (very different - and very good - movies from the land Down Under) on consecutive days, I will not be planning any vacation in Australia's Northern Territory any time soon. Frankly, I don't understand why so many people who have no business wandering into "the wild" seem to enjoy taking wilderness cruises and seeing some of nature's most efficient killers for themselves. I learned all l need to know about crocodiles from Steve Irwin. Of course, the characters in this movie thought they were safe in their little tour boat, but I wouldn't trust the freakin' Love Boat in croc-infested waters - not salties, at any rate. Now I don't think Rogue is as intense or impressive as Black Water, but it ... Read More:

A must see film for all AC/DC fans. Like a lot of Australian comedies, this is quirky, original and really funny. The film follows a group of AC/DC fans from their teenage attempt at a band to years later when they've all moved on but come together when one of them dies and they decide to keep their teenage promise of burying them next to Bon Scott. Don't be put off by the depressing sounding plot, this is a great film with a great soundtrack that even non AC/DC fans (is there such a thing??) will find funny.

7.Garfield Collection - Garfield/Garfield - A Tail Of Two Kitties/Garfield Gets Real [2004] starring: Jennifer Love Hewitt, Breckin Meyer, Stephen Tobolowsky, Billy Connolly, Bob Hoskins
directed by: Peter Hewitt, Tim Hill, Mark Dippe

DVD : The Shout [1978]
A young man Robert Graves(played by a fresh faced Tim Curry), arrives at a cricket match in the grounds of a mental hospital where he is to be the scorer. A doctor(Robert Stephens), introduces him to a man called Crossley, who is to score the match alongside him. Graves then listens as Crossley recounts a tale of how he met a man called Anthony Fielding(John Hurt),who is one of the players on the pitch, and how he became a part of Fielding's life, and from then on the film drifts back and forth from the cricket match to the story Crossley is telling.
This film has a haunting, dreamlike quality to it, and is pretty unique in its approach. Their is no cohesive narrative, and leaves the viewer with as many questions as answers. Thats a good thing in my opinion. ... Read More:
