I just watched Blade Trinity again, and again it shows just how brilliant the first two films were. Wesley Snipes is perfect as Blade and both of the first films have some of the best fighting scenes in this type of film. Trinity, I'm afraid is a poor imitation of the first two. A shame but still five stars overall.

After just watching Matrix I was expecting another load of nonsense from this film. Another Sci-fi. However I was pleasantly suprised, and from that day on the original Blade has been and still is my all time fave film.

Wesley Snipes is simply brilliant in this, I've never seen a cooler character than Blade. From his cool sword moves to his funny sarcastic comments "You've met Mr Crispy at the Hospital, what do YOU think!".

In a way I think that Blade is slightly under-rated, however that's not necessarily a bad thing, who knows, if Blade had been more successful the sequels might not have been as good!

I've re-watched all Blade films to the point that I've learnt some russian sentences. And to anyone thinking ... Read More:

When Stephen Dorff kills an intruder in his home he soon finds himself locked up in corrupt prison officer Harold Perrineau's unit where the yard doubles as a gladiatorial arena for the entertainment of the guards. The terrified family man has to learn to cope with the nightmare world of an American prison and sharing his cell with a notorious mass murderer (Val Kilmer).

Felon starts off as an excellent drama about the inherent problems in the American justice system. A generally non-violent man guilty only of defending his family against an intruder is locked up with rapists, murderers and gang members who are serving life and have nothing to lose. Immediately he is approached by Aryan brotherhood gang members and is regularly attacked by other inmates which ... Read More:

Excellent action/thriller/chase film. Well plotted, characters that the audience cares about and tight action scenes.
Fairly violent, but not to the OTT gratuitous extent of today's movies.
Full marks for excellent use of the night time, urban photography and locations, and the excellent setpieces such as the sewer chase. A reasonably atmospheric and gritty feel, aided by menacing performances from the likes of gang leader Dennis Leary.
Also a very good, and appropriateley tough OST (well worth purchasing in it's own right) - featuring crossover collaborations from the likes of Slayer/Ice T and Biohazard/Onyx.
Recommended if you enjoyed The Warriors or the recent Death Sentence.

This really is as bad as people say!
TV movie quality at best, totally unconvincing, completeleley detached - try the far better UNITED 93 for the sheer terror and inevitability. This may well be Stone & Cage's worst film.
Just does not convince and feels more like a VERY bad Hollywood Disaster movie, in which case you may as well watch The Towering Inferno!
As a serious docu drama it's a miserable failure.

"Back Beat" is about the early trials and tribulations of John Lennon and Stuart Sutcliffe, art students and rock musicians from Liverpool. They were scrappy trouble-makers when they formed the Beatles with Paul, George, and Pete Best and went to play in the shabby strip clubs of Hamburg, hoping to make a name for themselves. There, Stuart met and fell in love with photographer Astrid Kirchherr. Although he was very close to John, Stuart chose to leave the group and stay with Astrid, just before the Beatles released their first record.

John is well-played by Ian Hart (Quirrell in "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone"). Being a native of Liverpool, Hart gets the accent right and conveys John's scruffy, irreverent attitude and love of music. American actor Stephen ... Read More:

Absolutely stunning on blu-ray, although 90% of the film is with the port officers trapped under the rubble, the brief part at the start of the film with the surround sound and pristine picture quality is well...amazing.

Don't get me completely wrong, for about 4/5 of this film, I thought it was fine, pretty good in fact. There were some good performances, great scenery and a particular scene that had me at the edge of my seat for a ridiculous amount of time.
So 4 stars up to here... But then came the finish....

I didn't buy this film but had rented it. On the back of the dvd, it describes it as a "shocking conclusion"... but the words I was using shortly after the ending were "sick" and "pointless".
I'm not going to give it away for those of you who are going to watch it but the majority of the storyline was really good and I just felt it was almost all "wasted" at the end.
Some of you may well like this "shocking" conclusion (!) of which, ironically I was looking forward ... Read More:

I watched the TV show and thought is was good. so i then bought the book and watched the show again and realised it misses out at least half of the actual story and some of the chracters names are wrong. i advise everyone to read the book as it is 100 times better than the TV show.
