I love Tamsin Greig. I love Mac. I love this.

Green Wing to me is just one of the most perfect comedies out there. The comic timing is unbelievable, and the cast is one of the strongest I've ever seen.

Long Live Green Wing.

Debbie Isitt should be ashamed of herself for masterminding this heap of excrement. Obviously indebted to the work of Christopher Guest and Mike Leigh this quote from one of the cast reveals how far short Isitt came of their high standards.
" I think we did do our homework. We spent a couple of days before we started filming just working out how our characters met. That's not necessarily important for audiences to know but it helps with creating our characters".
A COUPLE OF DAYS!!!
The cliché stereotypes both straight and gay that are presented in this movie would not be out of place in a "Carry On" from 40 years ago.
There's nothing in Confetti that justifies its budget.
As others have said; it's a lamentable waste ... Read More:

I saw this film about two months ago, whilst home on a Saturday night, moping about my scumbag ex. Sister decided to cheer me up and headed off to the video shop. Clearly she doesn't read the reviews and just saw Guy from Green Wing and assumed this would be the kind of thing that would have me smiling again.

She must have got lucky (am certain it wasn't judgement) because it really did. After the horribly awkward first 15 minutes where it could've gone either way it was a very genuine portrayal of how real men (depressingly I think it's all too accurate) are.

Sensitive and understated, it's an absolute antidote to any Richard Curtis nonsense (with all it's 'you're nobody til somebody loves you' rubbish) and I would highly ... Read More:

Festival is an excellent film, introducing a range of characters with depth, humour and a degree of darkness. From Joan Gerard (Daniella Nardini) as a jaded reporter, a great turn from Chris O'Dowd and a suitably shallow Stephen Mangan as comedian Sean O'Sullivan, we see all sides of the characters. Worth watching for the award ceremony alone.

The movie covers a lot of ground at a rapid pace and gives a valid representation of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe as it has become: more of a comedy festival for comedians craving celebrity than the wealth of artistic possibilities that it once was. This may be unpalatable for some, but this hard hitting film is both funny and unrelentingly on target. Highly recommended.

Jane Hall is a witty comedy written by Sally Wainwright of 'at home with the braithwaites'. I found the Braithwaites highly addictive and is one of my all time favourite programmes, so I thought I would give this a go. Im glad I did.

Jane starts out as an unemployed, hopeless and rather geeky young woman still living with her posh and somewhat snobby parents, who view their daughter as much of a disappointment. After an argument, Jane takes off to London to become a bus driver, where at first she is bullied. Her parents are mistakenly impressed when they gain the impression Jane has a new boyfriend that works in the civil service, and that she may also be getting a job there. However, Jane's parents are soon disgruntled when they find out ... Read More:

i'll be honest, i bought this along with a batch of nicole kidman films as i was going through an obsessed stage at the time but i had always put off watching this. Although i wanted to watch it i never felt in the right mood to and was worried i wouldn't appreciate it if i wasn't and so it was with less than a little enthusiasm that i took it to my partners' to see on sunday night. What a surprise i got!! Nicole Kidman is as always brilliant as the mysteriously beautiful Nadia who comes to stay in England. Events take a turn for the worse when Nadia's so called 'cousins' appear and begin to reak havoc...What a great and clever film, Film Four has done itself proud! So much better than many blockbusters out at the cinema!
