British comedy, or comedy in general, doesn't get much better "dan dis". It's black, mean, edgy and full of wonderfully embarrassing social situations and tons of catch phrases you'll find yourself using (and I'm not even English-speaker per se!).

The predecessor of this series, the chat show parody Knowing Me, Knowing You With A.P., was also fine (the Christmas special Knowing Me, Knowing Yule in particular), but I think this is a huge improvement from that. This is largely because it's not restricted to that chat show format. In my opinion, this is also of higher quality than the slightly uneven and more "sit-commy" 2nd series.

And what can you say about the main character, Alan Partridge (played brilliantly by Steve ... Read More:

The answer is....YES! I think this series is actually better than the first one, which is high praise indeed. The dialogue is more hilarious than ever, there are some great supporting characters and Coogan has reached genius level with his portrayal of Partridge. In my humble opinion, episode 3 ("Bravealan")is the best 30 minutes of tv comedy anywhere EVER. There are a couple of scenes that don't quite come off, notably a muddled scene in episode 6 where Alan guests on a christian radio show. But it's churlish to criticise because overall it's a masterpiece.

I am divorced now thankfully, but I spent well over 12 years married to and living with a compulsive gambler like Bing in this drama.

I found "Sunshine" to be a completely 'true to life' and a 'totally honest' portrayal of this desperately sad, addictive illness. It was painful for me to watch, as the characters in "Sunshine" forced me to relive every financially worrying, upsetting, sickening and tear stained moment of my life with my ex-husband, also a compulsive gambler. There was nothing that Bing put his family through in this drama that me and my family didn't also suffer by the actions of my ex-husband's gambling, it was frighteningly accurate, as if someone had televised our lives together!

I remember going to see this and I actually cried with laughter. It's so random and silly, you can't help but smile. We need to watch out for these villages eh? I'll be keeping an eye on my neighbours in future. ;)
I remember a few people criticised it and said it was completely pointless with no solid plotline whatsoever, but I believe that is the whole idea. It's not meant to, because that is the style of these actors and writers. However, that point cannot be applied to Run Fatboy, Run and Shaun of the Dead, as they did have a central storyline. The fact that Hot Fuzz appeared so spontaneous was what made you laugh.
Oh the whole drama with the swan, I was in agony with laughter- a perfect method of stopping the evil villain of the piece ... Read More:

After three "regular" seasons, this short "abroad" show. If You love David and Matt (like actors ... of course ) don't miss the DVD. It's a politically incorrect show, mocking weakest people: disabled, poor, elderly, gay or fat. But David and Matt play their characters without "real" malice or racism. LB isn't a polite show, like MrBean: if you like the british Rowan Atkinson's humorism, don't buy this DVD.

The humour travels round with you it's so darn good.

I can't go on holiday without thinking 'This is a high clarrrss bureau de chawnge!' at least once, or see the weather forecast in the lift without thinking 'Breezes', or listen to Phil Collins without thinking 'Ahpumpedherfulloflead, becauseshewasan....Uuuuuzi luvvvah.'

The second series of Saxondale is even better than the first. Episode 1 is realy a summation of the 1st series character of Tommy Saxondale from there on his vista expands and takes in more characters in a broader scope of situations and the comedy is all the better for it.

It looks like the BBC will not take a 3rd series and so MacClennan and Coogan's scripts have everything thrown into them.

Commision editors at the BBC seem to have lost their marbles; while some idiot in the drama department writes a cheque for the diabolical Bonekickers another puts the book away in the comedy department.

Saxondale, it seems will go the way of Hyperdrive - loveable and funny characters consigned to the dustbin marked 'Comedy Gold'.

To some people, Alan Partridge may be just too odious to watch. Tommy Saxondale is a nicer guy, just a bit of a plonker at times. So, this may be a comedy for some to appreciate the talent of Steve Coogan.

I think Tommy Saxondale is his best character since Partridge. Maybe there is some of Partridge in him, or is that Steve Coogan !

I am a big fan of Alan Partridge so was pleased when this new character came along. I thought the first series very good, and the second, even better. Just wish it would come out on DVD.

Am I really the only member of the general public who can see Rob Brydon for what he really is? (i.e. the poor man's Steve Coogan - just as Keith Barrett is the poor man's Alan Partridge). I mean, come on, the man can’t even have his ideas - he has to copy!

I mean sure, during a 30 minute episode of any show featuring Brydon I'll manage to force out a laugh or two (if I'm very lucky & feeling generous! - hence the second star), but basically he just isn’t funny.

It’s a real shame that Steve Coogan is doing very little television these days, especially when he’s being replaced with non-entities like Rob Brydon. These are really sad, sorry days for British television when this tripe is considered the best we ... Read More:

I really didn't like this film. I found it a bit boring and overall a bit too cheesy. It was a disappointment because the book was so good. Usually if I like a film, I watch it more than once but this one I really didn't want to see it again. I would rather read the book again. Maybe this film just wasn't my cup of tea, it may be good for other people.
