This is quite simply one of the finest live performances I have ever seen, if not the finest! If you have never seen or heard SRV please buy this as it is quite exceptional. It's so good I don't really know where to start. Stevie was a true guitar genius. He never stops yet never repeats himself. It's sublime - the power, the speed, the control, the sensitivity and the voice. He had it all and music is the poorer for his passing. Texas Flood may be the greatest single performance ever captured on film. I should think the few hundred people in attendance that night have never stopped telling people they were there!!

This dvd is just great !!. The classic tone, the heart rending bends and the fiery licks are all on display here in stevie's playing. A must for all guitar fans. Forget the imitations this is the real deal. The first show from 82 shows Stevie & DT battling against a hostile crowd but still delivering the goods in true pro style, While the second show from 85 is a more polished performance from a more relaxed outfit at the top of their profession. Plenty of close up shots of SRV's often inspired playing and the sound is great too. RIP Stevie

I was a bit worried about the lip-synch on the first video - "Love Struck Baby" but after that everything was great. Good quality throughout and worth buying if only for for Stevie's genius on the 3 MTV Unplugged tracks. Oh, and watch out for the babe on "Cold Shot"! Very poignant at the end with the bits of him and his brother. My favourite for showing the real SRV is still "Live At The El Mocambo" But this DVD is highly recommended.

i watched this till the sound started to fail, ive also got all the hendrix videos and the sheer emotional intensity of stevie still blows me away more than any other guitarist,utterly incredible and compulsive viewing, you feel like youve been wrung out like a cloth!!its exhausting and exhilarating and makes me wish again that i could have seen him alive.

This video covers two different shows at Austin Texas. It is interesting to see Stevie Ray in the first show almost nervous ? don`t know if thats the right word. When you compare him in the second show there is marked difference in his presence on stage, very assured and relaxed. As for the musical content, what can I say that`s not already been said, stunning , brilliant and a true guitar great. That goes for both shows , although I really like everything that SRV did the best parts of the tape are, for me anyway, Tightrope,Riviera Paradise and Texas Flood. But it`s all brilliant, no more than you would expect from this Texas Bluesman. There is also a bonus section of Little Wing, but I was dissapointed with this as I was hoping it would be ...
