this was such a treat, as a big fan of disney i was expecting nothing but the best, and i got it!!How refreshing to see a genuinely funny, warm and animated/reality film that can still be produced by those geniuses!!

I have just watched this movie. I had been waiting eagerly for a few months for the release of the DVD and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. I thought the acting from all the leads was excellent but the story was deprressing - obviously the subject matter wasn't going to be one of laughs but even so, I thought it may have been a bit more uplifting. Very slow and quite boring up to half way through. At least I rented the DVD and didn't pay full price at the cinema. Shame - could have been better in my opinion.

...are just two words I would use to describe this. I saw it yesterday for the first time, and was amazed how much fun it was. Great characterisation and animation, and the little boy is just scrummy! My favourite (apart from James) was the Centipede, as I LOVE Richard Dreyfuss in anything. He was such a wise guy.... "That'll teach you to mess with me, you overgrown sardine - I'm from Brooklyn!" How much I enjoyed this film just goes to show that I'm a big kid - 37 going on 7!

I liked it alot. I prefer older, slightly unbelieveable movies to the newer, films which are mainly focused around the car crashes and the special effects than the plot and this film explains why. Not very scary, more gruesome and makes you jump in parts. Definetly one to watch.

My favourite film of all time! A real girlie movie. Funny and sad. Do not miss the experience of watching it!

I was originally introduced to this film by my sister and was fairly wary of it at first but now I think it is quite simply excellent. The film is based on the stage play of the same name written by Richard O'Brien, who also plays the butler Riff Raff, and the film is just as fun and anarchic. The music is brilliant and although some of the acting isn't all that great, it is appropriate for the type of film this is. Although I would say this film isn't for the faint hearted, it is definitely brilliantly fun.

First things first - watch it at all costs if only for a young Kirsten Dunst. I can't imagine a better Amy and whenever I go back to the book I always imagine her in the part. Full of life, adorable and hilarious. There's a bit I just love, where Jo says "Stop sulking, Amy, you look like a pigeon", and Amy leans back, rolls her eyes and gives a sulky couple of 'coo's. Sadly, she gets cut two thirds of the way through for a 'grown-up' Amy, who is all right but nothing to write home about. I wanted to like it, but the film as a whole is pretty flawed. The pace is monotonous and some of the best scenes of the book are cut and replaced with dull dialogue. The acting (especially from Lopez) is very wooden. This manages to ruin a reasonable story line and it defeats all attemptes by the supporting cast to keep the story on track. Also, she cannot dance. An incredible piece of casting that destroys the film.
