I just finished watching the Rocky cycle, all 6! I must say it was excellent watching the whole series. I remember being disappointed by number five especially but it was better than I remembered, especially knowing how it was "top and tailed" by number 6. If you are a woman or male-child (physically or mentally) you may just want to watch I and VI but definitely watch VI again with the commentary by Sylvester Stallone so you can get the depth behind this life lesson.

Once again sony pictures have released another mess. they have mislabelled the set, rambo 3 is NOT 5.1, it is in fact the same disc that appeared in a previous set that i also own. first set i bought had a faulty rambo 2 disc so i took it back and now i find that the 3rd film is NOT what it is claimed to be. Be totally aware of what you are buying.

Of course it's a silly 'superman' gets the bad guys film... but at least it should put pressure on one of the worse regimes on the planet. Google burmacampaign and be a bit of a rambo yourself

Movie: 5 Stars Picture: 5 Stars Audio: 5 Stars (DTS HD Master Audio) I've got the American Region Free Version which has the DTS HD Master Audio on it as the UK version only has TrueHD. This is what Rambo is about Pure Raw Rambo!

For me, the movie itself is a nineties' classic: action, adventure and humour blended together seamlessly to provide a thoroughly enjoyable (if untaxing) two hour break from reality. Unfortunately, this DVD release is WOEFUL. I could forgive the complete lack of extras (not even a trailer or production notes) but the picture looks like a poor transfer from VHS: it may be anamorphic, but it suffers from clear macro-blocking, colour shifts, artifacing and wholly excessive grain from the opening Warner Bros logo to the end credits. The entire disc takes up less than 3.5gb: given the complete lack of additional material, I find it perplexing that Warner Bros didn't at least use up the remaining free space to give the video a much-needed boost in bitrate. ... While it's not the best movie, it's quite okay to watch and not as bad as people say (well it would be good if it was on dvd in high quality). It comes with a 'making of' featurette which is quite good but only just over 19 mins long. The film itself is in 2.35:1 widescreen but not even anamorphic so it's NOT a good quality picture. Even when they show the movie on TV it's in anamorphic widescreen, but no - the current DVD isn't even anamorphic widescreen.

A beautiful and sensitive portrayal of an actor left retarded by a career spent doing his own stunts and fight scenes. There won't be a dry eye left in the house.

The first Rambo is really good. Its original and Sly actually does some good acting. The other two are typical sequals RubbisH. Just buy yourself the Rambo 1. Poor on Extra features aswell.

First: It is Blu-Ray and not a cheap copy of the DVD. From movie to movie it gets even better. The sound is well mixed. That means that you are not pushed from your seats when explosions occur. The balance between speach and effects is perfect. Except of the fourth part "John Rambo" you have nearly no extras. Only one interview with Sly, but this is worth a look. Of course there are no cuts. You can enjoy the complete movies. This is interesting for german costumers. They also find the uncut german-version on this. Very nice. Good quality, price is fair. Clear recommandation!
