The Cosby show is a very good American family comedy. It was made in the early 1980's and feautured the great comedian and actor Bill Cosby. The show follows the everyday trials and tribulations of DR Cliff Huxtable (played by Cosby) and his family. Which include his wife Claire whose a lawyer and his five kids, Sondra, Denise, Theo, Vanessa and little Rudy. The kids cover all age groups and the show tackles many different issues the kids go through like dating, death of a pet, playing sports for school and many others. Even though it tackles some tricky subjects the show is always funny and shows how funny kids can be. Bill Cosby is also fantastic as Cliff and the way he works and talks to the kids is hillarious. I have written a review about Season 2, and season 3 comes to prove that this is still one of the best comedies every made. What makes it so special is the very clever use of language, situation comedy, depicting family in the right way, not the way that makes it look like a total perfect family to the point it gets so boring, nor the point where it seems like nobody belongs in there. Cosby is a legend, just seeing him talk and move around makes me smile, no one can do a better body language than him. What a great family comedy, and truly brilliant. Trust me on this, if you love comedies, you have to add this to your collection, a must see.

A great show, i just got seasons five and six and signed up for seven and eight when they come out this family is just great Bill Cosby is superb as Cliff. y ou can tell there is so much love and laughter with this family a very happy household. one of the best series ever made and i would highly recommend people to get it. glad it has been brought out on dvd a series to treasure indeed

This is one of the best comedies ever to be produced. It really does define what excellent comedy should be like. Of course there is the legendary Bill Cosby, who makes this show a must see. This is a great family comedy, where humor is mostly a situation comedy, expressed by great use of language, body language, and communication among all the characters.
