Being a great fan of Desperate Housewives I was eagerly waiting for Season 4 to be available. However, I find this season too fast-moving with too many sombre events crammed into each episode. True, we only get 17 episodes instead of the 23 or 24 of the previous seasons, but far more happens in this season. We get very little time to laugh (at our own follies), and are whipped along from one catastrophe to the next. I find it a great pity ... I liked being able to see myself (as a housewife and mother). No time for this now. I'll no doubt be getting Season 5 ... in a year's time ... but will be looking forward to it less. By the way, do watch them in order. Reference is made all the way along to the previous seasons 1, 2 and 3.

Not more than 10 minutes ago my wife and i finished watching series 1 and we thought it was brilliant. We normally watch 24 or lost on dvd but thought we'd give this ago and i'm so glad we did. Not a dull episode. Not one. Am just about to order series 2. I hope it's as good.

I am quite new to Desperate Housewives [believe it or not] and have never actually caught any of the shows on TV. I borrowed Season 1 from a mate and really got into it. I bought Season 2 & 3 myself and I must say up until now,Season 3 is the best in my opinion. I loved the whole Edie/Carlos flirtation,the doomed Gabby/Victor romance and Susans usual dithering between blokes.[Ahhhh I felt sorry for that english bloke Ian but that episode with his parents amused the life out of me] I'm also pleased that Mrs McClusky featured a lot more this series.I always knew she had potential and if you haven't seen this season I won't spoil it but I will never look at chest freezers again in the same light! Everyone tells of how season 2 fails to compare to season 1 and 3, and I have to agree it was not as good! So why do I still give it 5 stars then? Well..... seasons 1 & 3 were easily at least 7 stars!! An extremely watchable show, and I may have to buy the boxsets again as my constant watching of the DVDs has made the box very sruffy and bent!

The history of the latter Bond films is one of false dawns, with sporadic good or near-great Bond films promptly followed by horribly disappointing ones. OHMSS was followed by the lazy Diamonds Are Forever, The Spy Who Loved Me by Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only by Octopussy, and sadly Pierce Brosnan's enjoyable Bond debut GoldenEye remained true to form in being followed by another clunker. Tomorrow Never Dies was a famously troubled shoot, with a constantly rewritten unfinished script the most visible of its many problems. Lois Lane has finally discovered the truth. Clark Kent and Superman are the self-same person. So does this mean an end to the will-they-wont-they, do-they-don't-they chapters of their love life? Forget it! Because while Lois does take some time to come to terms with Clarks dual identity their romance is as fragile as it was in the first two series. I lost count of the times they broke up and got back together. I know this is supposed to add tention but in reality it made me want to scream at the TV! And while all-in-all the series is very good, too many episodes are just too far fetched. I know this is a super-surreal series where anything can happen but some of these episodes stretched my suppension of disbelif to breaking point. This movie is full of action, adventure and creative characters without being violent and scary. My two boys loved it. It was loads of fun for my husband and I as well as there is plenty of comedy that transends generations. We have seen Spy Kids 2 as well but can't reccomend it as it contains more violence and the characters were pretty scary.
