Well my 3 yr old loves the boulder story....we have re-enacted the story using a large exercise ball,tennis ball,maltesers and of course using the boulder playset...great fun!..thanx

Quite simply, fantastic. It keeps my two year old amused while I catch up on some much needed sleep...what more can I say?!

Finally what all Thomas the Tank Engine fan has been waiting for: Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends: Series 7 has arrived on DVD. Here are all 26 stories on one disc but some of them you might have seen on other Thomas DVD compilation titles, so it's nice to have them all-together. The intro scenes have changed since the very first series and but the music remains the same until the later stories when the music becomes more upbeat and the scenes of Thomas coasting along the track change too. But it had to happen sooner or later! Hope you enjoy this DVD as much as I have!

with the classic characters established in season one it was full steam ahead for the greatest children's show ever! it hard to know where to being to praise this show, this series has the perfect balance of action drama and hummer, some of the best action sequences ever are to be found here, the characters are more real and beauty full than ever, the great thing is all the engines have faults, vanity, laziness, pride or inexperience. This makes them easy to relate to. the sets for this series are amongst the best they ever made, the music is wonderful. Sadly this was the last series that the great Ringo star narrated which is a great shame because he was excellent. back when I was 7 I could retell these stories word for word and in Ringo's voice! I got Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends: Series 4 to replace my videos of Rock 'n' Roll and Other Stories & Thomas & Stepney and Other Stories which have severe wear and tear. All 26 stories are on this disc with different characters like Duke, Sir Handel, Peter Sam, Skarloey, Rheneas & Duncan. My only complaint is that the storyteller Michael Angelis seems to have gone back and re-narrated the first 13 stories again, just like he did in Series 3, for the DVD release, which is really annoying. To me, he did it perfectly on the video releases. Obviously he wasn't happy with the narrating that he did the first time around and decided to change it. But that criticism aside, this DVD is still worth owning!

I bought this for my three year old daughter for Christmas and she loves it. It has had many plays and I am already familiar with all of the songs and its only 11 Jan! All of the engines are in the video and my daughter is particularly taken with Diesel 10, who is a little bit scary as well as ultimately being very helpful. For me the songs could be better and the computer graphics are a bit cheesey. The basic story is pretty good, but some of the tricks the engines play on one another go too far and the distinction between good and bad is very blurred, which is often not the case for children's stories. I don't intend to use Thomas the Tank Engine as a path through the moral maze, but there is a temptation to think engines are good and diesels ... Read More:

My daughter (nearly 3 at the time of this review) loved this DVD of all her favourite characters. There is something here for everyone, young and old. Another triumph in the Bright Kids department for HIT Entertainment.

I've really enjoyed this DVD and I am happy because of the song "Every Day's A Special Day On Sodor". I also like the episodes "Tuneful Toots" and "The Magic Lamp" because of new friends. Molly is in the song and Mighty Mac makes cameos in the episodes. The games are great, I'm looking forward to the next DVD! (Written by Alex, age 8)

This is a god send if you have little ones that want to be entertained. 2 hours of some great tv for little ones, bob the builder, Pingu, fireman sam, barney , the wiggles and many more. one nice feature is subtitles which is great for helping the little ones to read or sing along. You can also make it play episodes at random or pcik your favorite. My little girl has watched the episode of the wiggles so many times it has nearly driven me mad. Well worth it
