Dragon Half has long been a favorite anime of mine, from back in the prehistory of steam powered hand carved stone slabs, more commonly known as VHS. So finally getting around to finding it on DVD was most welcome. Especially considering I no longer have a VHS player.

The basic plot revolves around the titular Dragon Half, Mink, and her pursuit of the singing idol/dragon slayer Dick Saucer. The basic format of the show is I guess a comedy action fantasy show. The way that it makes fun of your standard fantasy cliches is a large part of it's charm, as the focus is firmly on the comedy aspects of the show.

I'm not going to go into massive details of the plot, as frankly that seems somewhat pointless. The purpose of a ... Read More:

This is one of Tweed's finest. Why would you watch this movie? Accept it, for it's sex scenes or if you are a big fan of Shannon Tweed. The sex scenes are steamy and long. Tweed acts like a real fox and really knows how to turn on the audience.

There are in my opinion three memorable scenes: 1. Rena Riffel's long sex scene. Wow, this woman is so bendy and hot! Her butt is one of the best I've seen in these movies. Believe me, she's one good reason to get this movie. 2. Tweed's infamous real sex scene. The scene is old fashioned but kinky. Watch out for the "real" penetration. 3. Tweed getting savage, wild sex while doing exercise. That scene is like something any man would like to experience! It's sexy at it's best. Also, the last ... Read More:

Sick of people who take mecha anime too seriously? Tired of hearing Shinji Ikari whinging? You need some Nadesico!
Beautifully animated and with a suprisingly strong plotline, this is a cracking anime. It's also hillariously funny!
The spaceship Nadesico is rather strange in crew, a flirty secretary, an anime voice actress, a cold natured child genious, a crazy pilot who's obsessed with mecha anime and captain who can't seem to take anything seriously!
Akito, the male lead is a cook from Mars, he doesn't want to be a mech pilot, but it just seems to happen to him.
Bad points of the series though, are as follows:
The American dub is so bad that I can't stick it for over ten seconds. For your own good I suggest you ALWAYS ... Read More:

As a relative newcomer to the Anime genre, Previously only having seen Fist of The North Star ( also excellent) and various series on TV, I was very pleasantly surprised by this title. It proves that Anime does not need to be ultra-violent to provide non-childish entertainment. I thought the whole film was wonderfully drawn and animated, and the humour, while not hugely sophisticated, to be very amusing in a surreal way (especially the sea cucumbers!) The only down points I found with this film were the constant jokes about Lina's breasts, which became a little wearing, and the perhaps slightly ponderous plot development in the early stages of the film. Otherwise, this was an excellent piece of animation which I recommend Fully.

5.Blue Seed, Vol. 3: Prelude to Sacrifice (REGION 1) (NTSC) starring: Rob Mungle, Tiffany Grant, Marcy Rae, Kurt Stoll, Allison Keith

This is intended to be a silly titilating horror movie. But it is so pathetic as to be nothing but annoying. There is no humour, suspense or surprises. There is no worthwhile storyline or character development and even the gore is undestated and dull. There is a little gratuitous female nudity if that is what you are looking for.

I do enjoy the occassionly cheap horror flick, so don't misunderstand me. Give me Toxic Avenger over this drivel every time.
