Yes this is basically a kids film, but as a 40+ person with no kids who has purchased the DVD, I'll happily own up to being an adult who loves this film. This film set the benchmark for computer animated films when it was released in 1995 and it still looks good today. The story is simple and the characters are marvellous. Whoever thought of the idea that Buzz Lightyear could be a toy who believes he really is a Space Ranger deserved an Oscar. Its a brilliantly conceived idea, which has a funny and at times touching script. Its also worth mentioning the that the songs are by Randy Newman, a vastly underrated musician and songwriter, whose Uncles wrote the music for some the great Hollywood movies of the 40's and 50's. ... Well it had a few Ho Ho but not the best out of the others. But still nice to watch on Christmas eve before the real Father Christmas set out to work. Also has subtitles for the deaf.

I've previously bought the first(on video) and second of these films, and have just sat down to buy the box set , and felt I had to respond to the previous review. I think the first film 'explains' christmas in such a modern way; it has certainly helped me answer some awkward questions over the years!! Yes, it is a slushy christmas film, just what a lot of us want at this time of year! The second film, my kids actually prefer because of the 'bad' santa, and last christmas we loved the third at the pictures and couldnt wait for it to be released. Obviously each film is about Santa, and how it affects his family, etc around him. But each one is so uniquely different in its main story line, but because most of the actors filmed all three ... Bought this film and wasnt sure what to expect from it. Watched it with friends and we thought it was a good "laugh out loud" film. Some films state they are comedies and when you watch them they can be very disappointing - not this one, appeals to all ages too. Cant go wrong really for £2.98!

These days I refuse to watch most CGI movies, mainly because they can run them off a mill as many times a year as they want. For me, Toy Story 2 represents the pinnacle of Computer based films. Touching, funny, and even better looking than its predecessor, this is easily one of the greats from Pixar. I say this now because with such average attempts over the recent years such as Antz, Madagascar, and Cars, the 90's proved that its better to wait 3/4 years for a film that's quality, rather than a glut of lame attempts to cash in. It sounds and looks even better than the video version of course (believe me, the colours are enhanced hundreds of times better than on the video) and should be bought with the original!

This film is simply hilarious !!!!! The actors are great and do a brilliant job. Christmas with the Kranks will leave you laughing long into the new year!!!!

All of these films are absolutely magnificent in their own way. A truly great purchase if you don't already have them on DVD. I had all but 3 of these films on DVD, so decided to sell the ones I had and buy this. Only things is, the Monsters INC and Toy Story 1 films in this Box Set are 4:3 as opposed to 16:9, unlike my previous versions - so a bit annoyed about that. Otherwise, this is an excellent purchase. 8 quality films for £45 is amazing value and well worth the investment. From now, I'll be buying films on Blu-ray though, but this is a great way to say goodbye to Disney Pixar DVD's! Save yourself the trouble of buying each DVD separately and get this!

I've watched this film at least 10 times. It's simply hilarious. It's not actually taking the mickey out of Star Trek, rather a tribute to the actors who play in Star Trek. One of the funniest and definitely the most underrated comedy films out there. You need to watch this film a few times to catch all the jokes so it's a perfect DVD purchase. There are so many classic moments such as the captain getting his shirt ripped Captain Kirk style and the Klingon types in the toilet at the Trekkie conference.
