I was a little worried as i'm a blackandwhitefilmophobe but, this fim is marvelous.

Compared to films like Serpico, Taxi Driver, The Warriors that show New York on the 1970's as a cess pit this shows 70's New York through Woody Allen's eyes and what a place it is.

5 Stars all the way.

This film is available under 3 different titles. Zombie, Zombi 2 and Zombie Flesheaters. Back in the late 70s Dario Argento did his own cut of Romero's Dawn Of The Dead, calling it Zombi, for the Italian and European market. Lucio Fulci was commitioned to exploit its success and do a cash in version which was called Zombi 2 (to make people think it was a sequel). It was then released in the US as Zombie and, eventually, in the UK as Zombie Flesheaters. It doesnt have the same class as Romero's stuff but its still one of the original classic zombie flicks. The gore is everywhere and the zombies are disgusting- the one area that did improve on Romero's work. If you do decide to watch this then please try to get hold of one of the imported versions as some ... Read More:

DVD : Anthropophagus: The Grim Reaper [1981] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
Ok,the final 15 mninutes of this film are great. In fact, i'd say pretty damn scary!! However, the rest of the film is SO BAD chances are you wont make it till the end. The opening scene in the sea is really promising but the wait for anything else exciting to happen is mind numbing. Theresbad films, but this is something else. The infamous 'baby eating scene' is fairly intense but this film being banned is purely ridiculous. Most DVD editions of this film up until recently have had the final 15 minutes missing! I cant even begin to imagine the dissapointment of getting that one home!! Anyhow, borrow this if you want to see it but its just not worth buying. You wont be watching this one more than once. And I watched California Axe Massacre at least 3 times!!!

8.The Last Hunter [1980] (REGION 1) (NTSC) starring: David Warbeck, Tisa Farrow, Tony King, Bobby Rhodes, Margit Evelyn Newton

DVD : The Last Hunter [1980] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
Of all the war films that Antonio Margheriti(aka Anthony M.Dawson)directed this one is the original and best. From the start to the end,it has it all and some.David Warbeck(R.I.P)is a fantastic lead as Captain Morris, whilst Tony King(Shaft)is a brilliant back-up as Midnight.John Steiner always brings a touch of class to the films he appears in,and plays a fantastic cameo role as General Cash.
As for the DVD,I would recommend buying the recent Region 1 Dark Sky release as it contains the original trailer and a featurette with the director.so sit back and enjoy!
