Terrific stuff with a great cast and a very witty script e.g. Count Scarlioni suggests that if Romana and Tom Chadbon's marvellously thick Duggan wanted to see him, they only had to ask instead of the failed break in to his chateau. He observes "You had no need to resort to, well one could hardly call it "stealth"!

Julian Glover gives a perfect performance as the time splintered alien posing as an art thief. He has clearly got used to the finer things of his "Not very satisfactory mode of existence".
Catherine Schell gives him a marvellous trophy wife, making something special out of the scene where the Doctor plays on her doubts about the "man" she married.

We also get a lovely Eastern European scientist from ... Read More:

What a boring movie - I set out with such high expectations for this film. There is barely any story and what story there is plods along at snails pace. Half way through I couldn't wait for it to end and at the end I just wanted my money back and the 107 minutes of my life I'd wasted watching it. I did get to the end of it though which is the only reason it gets 2 stars and not 1 - in truth its a 1 and a half.

'Dance With A Stranger' is based on the true story of the last woman to be hanged in Britain. Mirander Richardson plays Ruth Ellis in this 'fairly' accurate story of the real-life drama.

Whilst not a huge fan of true stories being brought to the silver screen, this is interesting - if only for putting across very well how this woman should not have been executed. Whatever her morals and personality (whether you like or dislike her) it is blatantly clear that the only way to be rid of this troublesome young man (David Blakeley) was to kill him (from her perspective that is) If what we see we are to believe, this woman was 'plagued' by her one-time lover long after she'd tired of the affair and had told him as best she could (Blakeley ... DVD : The Beast Must Die ( Black Werewolf )
I am a big fan of this movie and already have it under the 'Euroshock Collection, also being a region 1 version, that you will see here if you do a search, it's the cover with the yellow circle with a picture of the werewolf in the middle.

I bought this version here because of the extra features, I read on the box this version had a new 16X9 anamorphic widescreen transfer, and I wondered how the picture quality compared to my previous version so I played them to compare, to my amazement the picture quality on this disk is terrible and much worse than the Euroshock version, in this version they have cleaned up the picture by taking out all those little flecks and speckles that are constantly flashing about on the screen, something you saw all the time at the movies in the ...
