The first two Alien films are amazingly good, & the rest are well worth watching but less excellent. This is a great collection & good value for money.

This is the brilliant film about being the best pilots, silly nicknames, and cheesy one liners! ( I feel the need, the need, for speed!) Brillant 'dog fighting' action scenes, and a great soundtrack, Not to be missed!

My brother warned me not to watch this film, so to annoy him I watched it with him. Overall it's well made with good acting and enjoyable. Theres a point in all films like this, that you start trying to guess whats going on. I started throwing suggestions at my brother with everyone came the reply "no it's not as good as that". This carried on untill the end when I could not believe what I saw. This film builds and builds only to ultimately dissapoint. I've warned you about the ending. If your at all cynical stay away, if pap is what your after lap some of this up.

Heather O' Rourke's final film and it could have been special had it not been for the occasionally dire acting and dialogue. The man who plays Henry Kane is not the same moist ugly dude from the second film and there is nothing creepy other than the fact they have tried to make him look creepy by sticking plastercene on his face. Some FX are simple but very spooky the scene where Carol Anne is being pulled into the puddle is impressive. And some mirror scenes are well done too however this remains the weakest link but deserves credit as Heather O'Rourke was a great little actress and delivered a truly charming and sweet performance once again.

I have watched this film many, many times over the years and it's still as great as the first time I watched it. A superstar cast brings with it quality acting and a superb script. Don't think I've ever watched it without crying, so if you're a Steel Magnolias virgin, or coming back to it for a repeat viewing - be sure to have the tissues at the ready....
It also has one of my all-time favourite quotes, which is something I live by...
"I'd rather have one moment of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special" - simply beautiful!

Obviously if you like your no-brainer action car-chase movies, this isn't for you. If you want a simple story of lives and friendships, beautifully written and flawless performances, with depth and ... Read More:

Having recently read and quite enjoyed King's novels Desperation and Dreamacatcher, I thought I would check out the films of the books. While Dreamcatcher was a big budget (almost $70 million) mess, with unbelievably misjudged casting and abysmally wooden acting, this TV movie gets most things right. Tom Skerritt and, especially Ron Perlman, put in good performances which gel together a solid cast.

The movie is a sensible, well written and streamlined adaptation of King's novel, and I was pleasantly surprised to find myself enjoying it. While it is no Misery, Shawshank or Green Mile, it is still entertaining in a way that the disasterous Dreamcatcher could only dream of.

Having said all that, it's still a country mile from being ... Read More:

After reading the reviews and watching the trailer to this film I decided that it was worth picking up, I could only watch the first 62 minutes.

I found this slow, low on humour and knew that I could not out up with another 50 minutes so decided to cut my losses and eject it from my DVD player forever.

It does have some good bits in the film, the best characters for me were Radar and Donald Sutherland's character too, they were the only people to really stand out for me, I thought that this would be at least a good solid comedy and with the cast it should have been, but there was simply not enough going on between the few laughs to keep me interested, hence the reason why it only lasted 62 minutes.

If you're curious about ... Read More:

This is an amazing film that has so much suspense and atmosphere it truly pulls the viewer in. There's plenty of shocks which are excellently timed, and when the alien does appear it doesn't disappoint in the least. The cast are all superb and the direction is incredible.

A fantastic film.

I saw this movie when I was a 13 year old wannabee ballerina, who later became a ballerina.
I loved the story and the choreography and the story of a young rising star hoping to join a company is inspiring.
Mischa is at his best in this and the repertoire is excellent. I used to watch the excerpts and dream of dancing those steps, later in my career I used the film to gain tips for my own performances.
So glad to find it on dvd here, I had a taped off the TV cassette which has long worn out, now my own aspiring dancer daughter can watch this wonderful movie.
