I didnt think id like this film in all honesty! I asked my dad who Tommy Lee Jones was and 2 hours later he gets this film out and demands that i watch it! With realizing on half way through that 'Han Solo' (Harrison Ford) was Richard!

This film is truly a work of art and since my dad made me watch it iv been obsessed. Great acting and incredible story!

Brilliant movie. In my opinion, one of the best movies out of either series (Friday the 13th or A Nightmare On Elm Street), it's really great. Lot's of suspence and gore and the cool death scenes - everything you could want from a slasher movie.

The characters were great to, well developed and likeable and there were quite a few funny lines that made me laugh - and I thought the scne near the start where the teenagers ran out of the house screaming was really funny, like the movie was spoofing itself.

People make fun of this movie having Kelly Rowland in it but I thought she was a really good actress and she played a good character, too.

Brilliant movie, for fans of Freddy or Jason, or both (like me) :).

Helena Bonham Carter is at her best in this gem of a film, as are her Co actors.

I do not understand that the news of the brilliance of this film, has not been more widely spread, and therefore I will do my best to chime in the chorus of praise of this film.

It surpasses Gosford park and most period drama by miles. The portraits of the prime actors is delicately cut and reveals the nature of each role to the bone, heart and spirit of the character as well as the spirit and hypocrisies of the time.

What can't be done, should have been done and what is done should have been avoided. It is the keepers of the rules and the "right thing to do", who ruins all by not knowing that the lives and happiness of all are ... Read More:

The BBC's 2002 version of Arthur Conan Doyle's oft-imitated The Lost World is better than most (not saying much considering the low budgets and abysmal special effects of most versions over the past half century) but it still takes plenty of liberties with the source material. Bob Hoskins' irritable Professor Challenger and James Fox's Professor Summerlee are faithful enough, but once again a new female character has been written into the story for purely demographic reasons in the form of Elaine Cassidy's daughter of Peter Falk's missionary, though this does at least allow the script some contentious discussion of Creationism vs. Darwinism to help stake its claim to a higher intellectual plateau than its cheap-and-cheerful rivals. But of course, it's the dinosaurs ... Read More:

DVD : The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner [1962] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
Good acting , good direction and an accurate storyline. This workmanlike british film of the fifties is enjoyable and interesting. By far the biggest atribute , in my own personal eyes , is its accuracy and authenticity to the borstal system. Being a borstal officer during this period , many of the situations and incidents contained within the film are equal to many I have encountered over the years. The "feel" of the film is very authentic indeed. Good performances by Redgrave , Courtney and a fledgling John Thaw .
Not exactly a film to relax with but nevertheless enjoyable

No-one has ever questioned Ken Loach'e sincerity or identification with his characters, but this is the film which best combines those qualities with warmth and humour.
Our hero is in financial difficulty right from the start, but when he decides his daughter must have a new dress for her first communion and, by hook or by crook, he's going to find the money to buy one, his plight becomes serious indeed. (The actor playing the local debt collector is truly terrifying.) The only other film where I've felt such a strong ache for a character's predicament is for James Stewart in "It's A Wonderful Life", no less.
Lest this all sound too grim, I should emphasise that it's laugh out loud funny in places. You'll be glad to know that Ricky Tomlinson is well to the fore and gives one ... Read More:

I just loved this film.. I have been to Bosnia several times and have friends there and they also enjoyed Warriors.. Maybe at times it can be stereotypical regarding the muslims and the Serbs, but the acting is great and the storylines are good.. Well worth watching!!
