I had heard some bad things about this season of Smallville from various people but personally I found this seventh season of the show to be greatly entertaining and definitely the best season so far. The main addition for this season is the introduction of Kara Zor-El, Clark's cousin and future Supergirl. This season also sees the introduction of Black Canary as well as seeing the return of Green Arrow, Bizarro and Brainiac. The season itself is a lot more story driven than some of the previous seasons, with far fewer stand alone episodes. The CGI in this season is good even if it is slightly ropey in a couple of episodes and the acting on show is the usual mixture of hammy and great. Having said this, the writing is generally ... This season has to be one of the best from the show. I think that Miles Miller and Al Gough are doing a great job with their own creative license for the show, Ok they don't take the show where Superman fans would expect, but so what, it's such a new exciting take on the whole Superman ethos. I love where they have been going with Smallville and they are on form this season This season we see the entrance of "The Green Arrow", the hatred between Clark and Lex grows and we see a particularly superb episode that introduces "The Justice League", our future Superman, Green Arrow, Cyborg, The flash and Aquaman. I agree with a previous reviewer that the box spoils the presentation of our Smallville collection a bit. I don't know if the later seasons are going to be presented in this newer (cheaper looking) packaging, but I was liking the style they had going with the previous seasons. I think that maybe they chose this more compact (cheaper) style because they were wasting far too much money printing those nice little insert booklets for us that contained the episode summaries. We aren't getting one with this set. The episode summaries are printed onto each side of the slim DVD cases instead. These money saving methods can be kinder to storage space though, because this is a slimmer season set. Just display it by its spine, as the edge showing the seperate DVD case spines looks horrible. ... Read More:

Following the trend of humpety dumpety style openings, the writers manage to putt smallville back together again, with the character back into their original places. Lana returns, Chloe comes back from the dead coughs hiding, and Clark...er...falls back to Earth naked in a field. The introduction of Lois does being some much needed comic relief, and adds a new dimention as Cark is not the hero to her. The main plot of this season is that of gaining three Kryptonian crystals, which grant the sum off al Kryptonian knowledge to it's possesser. HOWEVER This season is GREATLY spolied by the addition of a witch (and her two cronies in Spell), this degrades the entire season, as it's very difficult to except, or even take those episodes seriously. Starting a moment after the season one finale Smallville continues the story of Clark's younger years. This season really stands out in memory, the sheer quality of the episodes is amazing, there are more memorable episodes in this series than in any other combined. Furthermore there is a movement away from "freak of the wekk" episodes, with several episodes reveolving around the characters and their backstory, not monsters and threats to them. Clark's identity (as Kal-Ell is revealed to him, as is the fate of Krypton), Pete find oout about Clark's secret, Red K causes havoc turning Clark into a moralless teenager, secrets about Clark's adoption and Lex's brother are revealed, Clark lays on his deathbed and Clark is told to leave Smallville and complete his father's ... This season starts of fantastically, with Clark dosed on Red Kryptonite and living it up in Metroplis. With Chloe and Lana trying to bring him back, but with no use. The entire season has a much darker tone, with Chloe and Lionel fighting one another, Clark's killer girl friend trying to kill Lana and Lionel's continuing research into Clark, and his quest for an answer to his pressing problem. The "freak of the week" format contiues to decline, inf avour of longer stories and plots. Sadly the evolution and interactions of characters seen in season 2 dissolves, with Chloe seemingly giving up on hopes of being with Clark, and Clark simmiliarily dismissing Lana in the second episode. What's the point of spending this amount of money on an incomplete boxset i mean series 8 has just started up and for all we know there could be 9th series after that, i've given this boxset 3 stars only because this is the best tv series going at the moment i love it wooooooo!

A humorous film that is enjoyable throughout its duration with interesting characters and a lovely location by a beautiful lake. The children of two families compete against one another for the sake of their dads who dislike each other a lot.Eugene Levy and Steve Martin are well-suited to their roles as the bickering dads and the very large supporting cast have enough time on screen and enough to say and do to make their roles have an impact.If you want something that's innoffensive to adults and children and packed with wit then this is a film for you.

A few episodes in and so far Smallville is excellent. Big shame is the Blu ray quality, sound is compressed with speach too quiet and very slightly out of sync, picture quality is good enough but not a showcase for Blu-ray. In comparison Lost Season 4 is excellent quality, sound really impressing, but squeezed only three 42 minutes episodes per disc, Smallville manages to include four episodes, which I'm guessing they achieved by reducing the quality. Overrall looks like another great series, but a Blu-ray let down. Could it be that Warner invested all its time and effort into HD DVD and doesn't have the money or team to do Blu Ray well?
