Not surprisingly, this sequel is not as funny as the first Ace Ventura movie, but it is still hilarious and well worth seeing, especially if you like Jim Carrey and his physical comedy. The first Ace Ventura movie is an absolute classic of maniacal physical comedy, so it would have been very hard to top that. Nonetheless, if you liked the first one, you should get a lot of laughs out of this one too. Plenty of wacky nature scenes, funny animals, and car driving like only Ace can do it. Where does it rank with Carrey's other comedies? It's not as good as the top four: the first Ace Ventura, The Mask, Dumb and Dumber, and Liar Liar. But it's not that far behind either. Author of Adjust Your Brain: A Practical Theory for Maximizing Mental Health.

Leslie Nielsen is great as the santa who lost his conscious. He is not like in the naked gun he is acting serious and gives a sympathic santa. A movie for the whole family with a touching story.

The central premise of "Bamboozled" directed by Spike Lee is a good one. The final result is not. Having watched most of Spike Lee's recent work I am struck by his obvious lack of faith in the intelligence of American viewing public. He has become so literal a director that nothing is allowed to be ambiguous for fear that the audience will misconstrue the specific agenda. This Spike Lee admits in the commentary of his film by having the Webster's definition of Satire recited by the lead actor.

The simplistic, amateurish and self-conscious direction was evident from the opening scenes especially the ones involving the two young protagonists in their tenement squat.

One of the most important parts of making a Motion Picture ... Read More:

The main reason I purchased this DVD was because I'm a really big Jim Carrey fan. But not only did I get Jim, I got the Wayans Brothers aswell. This DVD will make you die with laughter. It really is funny. Jim Carrey is in it in alot of scenes, but it is mostly the wayans bros. Still, if your a Jim fan, its well worth getting. The set contains 3 discs which included every episode from the 1st serious which was 13 episodes at approx 25 mins per show. The dvds are region 1 so UK viewers will need a multi-region dvd player. Hope I've helped.

It's ironic that some of the best protagonists of the film musical [e.g. Julie Andrews, Liza Minneli and Dick van Dyke] were at their peak in the 1960/70s when the musical had gone out of fashion. So sadly this debut showcase for sparky Brit songster Tommy Steele was pretty much his only major outing in films, other than the slightly disappointing 'Half a Sixpence' [bit too sad & not really for kids] and the far more jolly 'Finnian's Rainbow' [where he played Og the Leprechaun]. His is the stand-out performance of Happiest Millionaire, and his first song [and dance] number 'Fortuosity' is one of the film's highlights [although rather like Dick van Dyke in Mary Poppins, cockney Tommy is stuck with an Irish accent in the movie, as he is cast as Irish ...
