This is without a doubt my favourite film of all time. I have watched it, it must be about a billion times and each time, without fail, the end scene leaves me with tears in my eyes. But as I watched it, I realized that there is more than one reason why Sam is murdered. I won't say anything in case I spoil the story for someone who hasn't seen this film, but, if you have this film on either DVD or video, watch it again and look VERY CLOSELY at Molly's actions towards the end. If you don't have this film, buy it and do the same.

I've always loved this film, I had it on tape for years. It's a great story, intelligent, with superb acting. Other reviews say it all

What did annoy me was that the DVD is two-sided. You have to watch half the film, then turn the DVD over to watch the other half. This isn't going to be enough to irritate everybody but it really irrited me, and I really wouldn't have bought it if I'd known about the format.

I'm the lazy type who likes to settle down, surrounded by food, and not get up again until the film is finished and there's no food left. Like I said, not going to bother everybody but still worth knowing.

A man, who has spent his whole life being raised by gorillas, must discover who he is and where he belongs when humans visit the jungle where he lives.

In perhaps one of the most underappreciated Disney films of the 90's, viewers are given an insight into the life of a man who must question who and what he is in the face of danger and humanity. The plot is a very romantic tale about the human spirit and has a very intriguing point of view upon humans, who are again in the darkness as villains in this Disney picture.

Tarzan embodies the good nature about the human spirit with a heroic and loyal ideology towards the lives of others, but the humans who come to investigate the gorillas such as Clayton are the epitome of evil, ... Read More:

I don't know if this was a personal film of Mr Cruise or one that an actor has to do so he can do a better film as part of a deal, but this film is silly. If you value your time and your life you wouldn't and shouldn't waste those precious hours watching this funny little man picking up the martial arts as quick and as adeptly as he does, and better than his friends who grew up with it. I should have been paid to watch this drearly overlong fantasy as yet again Cruise tantalises us with being placed in peril only to survive against the odds. This is all well and good for his fans but what about those people who would like to see him fail or die a spectacular, and early, screen death in a film of his instead of boring us all the way through to the credits ... This film has helped me through so many bad times. Round about the time this was released on DVD i lost my mum to cancer. This was the last film I watched with her so nowadays it has sentimental value. This is a perfect film to watch if you're depressed as it does make you feel better after you watch it. This is my fave movie ever. I watch this nearly every month because I love the movie so much. This cannot be repeated twice, there can't be a sequel to it, It's a golden tear film (meaning weepie) The power that this film has is unbelievable. If you have lost a loved one then you'd know the power that i'm talking about. The acting is superb. Patrick really does make you believe in this character and this nightmare he is going through and by the end you really do ... Read More:

Gripping account of a serial kidnapper/killer's predeliction for young women and the one that got away. Ashley Judd lights up the screen in every scene she apears in and acquits herself well as the young intern Kate McTiernan who managed to escape the clutches of the evil 'Cassanova'. Morgan Freeman and Cary Elwes make appearances but are sidelined to mere supporting actors in the mezmorising presence of Judd. What can I say? I am a huge Ashley Judd fan and in my eyes she can do no wong. Enjoy!

Thank God, this is better than number five (although it would be difficult for it to be much worse!). The first half is REALLY good, and the first death scene was cool and gory and the effects were very good considering it was made in 1986.

The characters are well developed and likeable in this movie - something which some of the lesser sequels lack - and it has a pretty high body count.

However, I think that some of the more interesting characters were killed off too early and the movie has been edited quite a lot, theres not that much gore, so the second half of the movie is dissapointing after the start. I'd give the first 45 mins five stars and the second half three stars.

Tommy and his friend accidently bring Jason Voorhee's back to ... Read More:

This movie is Dances With Wolves does Japan. It is a composite of every classic Western, from Wolves, to The Magnificent Seven, to A Man Called Horse, even Shane. Like Wolves, it's a peon to an idealized version of non-white spirituality and marshal strength where the post-60s everyman (in this case Cruise rather than Costner) redeems himself through immersion in another culture. It's 1876, the nation's 100 years old, Cruise and America are sick of its blood-stained past and guess what? he redeems himself through getting himself slaughtered with Samurai who inexplicably persist in pitching their swords against hired American Gatling guns and Howitzers. Interestingly, the Battle of Thermopolae is invoked and there is a host of accurate period reference. Intellectually, the film makes no ... Read More:
