This is the seventh box set taking the excellent 'Sopranos' to it's inconclusive conclusion. The final nine episodes included here are of the same high standard as those before it and continues the build up of tension started in Season six part 1. Anybody who has watched the show and has got to this late stage in the saga will not be needing a review to decide on a purchase, you're going to buy it anyway!!. To those people it is an excellent buy. i'm just a little disappointed that the cost has remained substantially higher than all the series before it. You've got to buy it to complete the set and they know that! For this point alone i've reduced the score to four stars.

1* isn't for the film (which is 5* and then some) but for this DVD. ITS A DUAL SIDER DVD - yep, flip over halfway through the movie, you know when you're nice and comfy?, snuggled up on the sofa with the wife? enjoying one of cinema's defining films? YOU HAVE TO GET UP AND TURN THE BLOODY DVD OVER TO WATCH THE SECOND HALF OF THE FILM!!!!! I mean, please accept my apologies, but I thought we were in the 21st century? I havent had to turn anything over since listening to my 'Best of the Clash' LP back in the early 90's pre CD days! Why this DVD is still available I don't know. Buy the special edition instead and watch one of cinema's greatest achievements UN-INTERRUPTED.

Although the show itself deserves a 5-star rating, I had to give this sale 4 stars because of the price. I have been a fan pf the Sopranos from the very start and can watch all seasons over and over again. However, after buying this on amazon for almost £120 I then saw a deluxe version box set (with extra footage and special features) for almost half the price! Nevertheless the show is brilliant, the DVDs are fantastic quality so it was well worth the money!

So the series that had it all has ended. For all of you that missed this when run on Channel 4 and its offshoots over the past eight years or so snap this up. HBO have delivered the best TV drama bar none over the past decade (sorry beeb but there is more to quality drama than crinolines and bonnets). The magnificent Band of Brothers, the glossy, sumptuous Rome,the peerless The Wire and the quirky Deadwood and Carnivale. This demonstates that the creative talent is out there but constrained by the pressure of Nielsen ratings and the blandness of network TV strictures in the US of A. War movies don't usually appeal to me but "Yanks" is truely a great film and it dosn't surprise me one bit that it was a box office hit back in 1979. It's a beautiful story with a great cast, both moving and funny at times and it even has a cameo from Lynne Perrie. So, even if you're not a fan of war movies, "Yanks" is still a classic piece of work which you have just got to see because I for one was pleasantly surprised when I purchased it. Highly Recommended!

I've always loved this film, I had it on tape for years. It's a great story, intelligent, with superb acting. Other reviews say it all What did annoy me was that the DVD is two-sided. You have to watch half the film, then turn the DVD over to watch the other half. This isn't going to be enough to irritate everybody but it really irrited me, and I really wouldn't have bought it if I'd known about the format. I'm the lazy type who likes to settle down, surrounded by food, and not get up again until the film is finished and there's no food left. Like I said, not going to bother everybody but still worth knowing.

I recently bought the digitally mastered dvd of this lovely fantasy film. I haven't watched this film for a good 25 years but seeing it now was still as enjoyable than when I was 14 years old. This is a classic fantasy film that hasn't lost it's appeal as it doesn't rely on special effects which would look cheap nowadays. I am not going to write much about the content of the film itself as others before me have already done it justice. The reason why I didn't give it the full 5 stars is that there are a few scenes at the end where the remastering actually decreased the picture quality. At long last and so much overdue the t.v. series of Get Some In! is now availible. this is great solid comedy. it goes back to britain's national service and four new intakes arrive at RAF Skelton for there national service. here they meet there Corporal named Marsh. superbly acted by Tony Selby who is heartless and cruel with his "Little Erks" as he calls them with other unkind hearted things as well. the lads always seem to get there own back on him however. this is a classic of comedy very enjoyable to watch the series ran for five series the first series also contains a christmas special.I hope the others will also follow suite as this is a unique comedy all brillantly played meet Robert Lindsey who plays Jakey Smith a teddy boy,David Janson who plays a grammer school ... Yes it's corny, and very American but it's a great film. One of the few proper cinematic quality lesbian films. Good acting. Good fun. Realistic love scenes. What more could you want.

Denzil Washington stars in this high class chiller in which he plays a cop trying to deal with an opponent who could literally be anybody at any time. A good cast including John Goodman and Donald Sutherland provide excellent support. Combine this with a surprisingly clever script and decent direction and you'll find a film that thrills and surprises in equal measures. No more so than the ending which has a lovely twist which I certainly didn't see coming. Fortunately for us there is no basis in reality for this story. If there was you'd look at people a little bit differently in future. Its also worth mentioning that I shall never hear a certain Rolling Stones song in the same way again after watching this film.
