This is a great video of a band in their prime, recorded in 1972 the video quality was surprisingly good although the video its self has a couple of drops in it at certain times, and there is a cheesy video effect used during one of the solos, the picture is pin sharp and obviously first generation so good marks for that.
The performance is excellent and at 64 minutes does leave you wanting more.
The sound is stereo only which is a shame but understandable given the age. However instead of a 'lossless' PCM sound track they have used a 'lossy' Dolby stereo soundtrack which leaves the bass a bit fluffy at times. There is enough space on the disc for both, but at the price this is a minor quibble.
No extras on this disc.

DVD : Traffic - The Last Great Traffic Jam

I love Traffic, always have. When I found out there was a live DVD I bought it instantly. What a terrible disappointment. Nothing wrong with the track list or the sound quality, but the visuals appear to have been put together by a 6 year old child with a new video-making toy and no thumbs.

Every shot is brief, zoomed, cut-away, a 'scene' from downtown USA or some other rubbish attempt at being clever.

On my personal favourite track, 'Walking in the Wind', the actual band is visible and seen playing for precisely (and I measured) 31 seconds, 31 seconds! The rest of the time it's back to the quick-cutting 'I'm so clever' editing that has entirely ruined this DVD for me.

Great to listen to, simply impossible to watch. ... Read More:
