Me and my sister watched this film last night and we were virtually wetting ourselves with laughter! Jane McGregor is very funny in the role of the main charcter Starla; a high school queen bee, who takes on a French exchange student which is where her problems begin as Genevieve begins to steal all aspects of Starla's life. Piper Perabo puts on a superb French accent in her portrayal of Genevieve and both actresses steal the limelight in this great sleepover movie. Anyone who loves stereotypical high school movies will love this film!

ok, i first heard of this DVD from the books it was based on, Someone Like You and That Summer. and i have to say, both them books are amazing so i had to see How To Deal. and i love. Mandy Moore has once again proved to the world that she is talented. How to Deal has to be one of the best films i've seen. it solves every problem teenagers have to face everyday.

Halley (Moore) leads a very hectic life, following her parents dirvorce, her sisters wedding, her dads new affair, her best friend lost her mind among other things... and Macon, the boy who won't take no for an answer. Halley doesn't believe in love, but can Macon change her mind?

All in all, this wasn't a terrible miniseries. In general, the acting was quite good, though there were times it was obvious the lead actor was chosen because of his physique rather than for his acting skills. Also, if you're expecting any great feats with the graphics, you will be sorely disappointed. While Sean Astin was obviously attempting to cling to his sidekick status from Lord of the Rings, one must question why it is that he never once aged. I don't recall it ever being said that he was any sort of immortal being, so, why, over the course of roughly 30 years, did he never get any older?
