When this was recently broadcast on British TV, I watched it, on my Widescreen TV & played back the 4.3 version that I had recorded some years ago, from/on, SKY movies on my 4.3 TV. In doing so I noticed that there was NO additional side footage, which meant that in order to upscale a 4 x 3 to 16 X 9 widescreen, the TV broadcaster had to crop 25% of the top & or bottom of the comparative 16 X 12 image. NB. the 3 in 4 X 3 is equal to, image length/4 - 25% therego since the broadcast image length = 16 then its (4 X 3) height/depth, = 12 not 9 which is = to 12 - 25%.

My 2 year old twin boys were given this as a present by a family friend. I had not heard of Barney the Dinosaur and when I saw the cover, I thought that I would not want to watch it. How could I have been more wrong? My boys love it and if I allowed them, they would watch it every day! The songs are vibrant, the story is entertaining and I even found myself "using my imagination" to immerse myself into the story. It is wonderful and children of all ages will love it.

Highlights for me include the songs "If all the raindrops" at Chez Snob (I defy anyone not to be singing and dancing to this by the time it ends!), "Imagine", "We're going to find a way" and "I love you".

Simply superb!

The Lost World:Jurassic Park, I'm sorry to say, made me lose interest in the franchise. This film, however, restores the film series to its best. Alan Grant, the hero of the original, is now a more bitter character who is tricked into going to an island where the genetically-bred dinosaurs are roaming. This film barely has a dull moment. The Spinosaurus is a terrifying creation and the scene in the crashed aeroplane is easily an all-time great dinosaur movie moment. With its real, sympathic characters and its brilliant and tense dinosaur scenes, this is a gem.

This film fooled me into thinking that Bruce Willis was alive and then it tries to make out he was a ghost all along! So how come he didnt walk through a wall or fall through the floor? No, this is silly. If ghosts did exist they would not wear clothes or go around scaring people. For a more realistic film of ghosts - which don't exist - watch Ghostbusters or Ghost. Avoid this one at all costs.

I really enjoyed this film, there's a good variety of drama depicted here, you have a guy who's got a gambling problem (Keanu Reeves), a bunch of kids who are looking for something fun and exciting to do rather than staying at home in a rough neighbourhood, little league baseball is where they all find a common ground and a way to escape their normal everyday lives.

There's some good honest humour, various stories that are well entwined, the film is put together very well, there's a real feel good factor going on, good music and some fine performances both from the adults (Keanu Reeves and Diane Lane) and all of the kids are great too.

As the film goes on it gets more and more emotional and the whole thing is a joy to watch ... Read More:

When I first saw this film in the TV guide, I thought it would be a trashy teen horror movie or slow paced shallow morality tale. Thankfully, I put my assumptions based on the title aside and sat down to watch.

It starts off in a wistful, slightly child like way with Rory Culkin being beaten up because he took the bully's (George, played with amazing understanding of the character by Josh Peck) video camera. This small event sparks his brother, Rocky, to take action and get revenge for the years of abuse he and his friends too suffered at the hands of George. The plan is simple - Set up a fake party and take him on the local river, play truth or dare and humiliate him.

Unfortunatly, they find that George is deeper than they thought ... Read More:

A simple thriller like so many others. A car accident, two orphans sheltered by the parents' business associates who are revealed to have been the killers to put their hands on the money the children represent, and all that for some shady business with criminal contractors. Banal. The elder child, the girl, will try to escape and will fail. And little by little things are going down but all is well that ends well and I can't reveal the details, except that the uncle will get the kids he should have gotten from the very start since he was the only family. The thrill comes from the details of the yarn we are told which is in a way a tall tale from some Calaveras County, California and its giant leaping jumping frogs.
