In the beginning, God created man. And He saw that it was good. Then Man created Pokemon. And it too, was good.

This is the first, and in my opinion, definitive, movie that features the Japanese creations, Pokemon. A craze that took the whole world by storm back in the late 90's, and is still going strong today. You only have to look at the number of Pokemon movies that exist now to see that. But there can only be one number one. And this is it. Without a doubt. I can honestly say that even now, eight years on, this movie still looks as good as new. The chemistry between Ash and Pikachu is as high as it ever was, and the characters all work well together, the old guard of Ash, Misty and Brock providing the majority of the lines. ... Read More:

I definately think, that out of all the Pokemon movies (and there are dissapointingly a lot of them which cheapens the whole franchise) Pokemon The Movie 2000 is one of, if not the best. It's only competator is obviously the first movie which cannot be surpassed by any of the others. The plot is very typical and uninspired but when I first watched this so many years ago, it inspired me. Pokemon has always managed to inspire me and it still does now. I JUST bought the movie again after not seeing it for many many years and I enjoyed it just the same if not more. I think this movie gets the balance right between the new Pokemon that are starting to creep into the Pokemon world and the old ones we love so much. There's great humor delivered by our favorite ... I think the best thing about The Birds is that it is directed by Alfred Hitchcock, to me anything with his name fronting it is scary.
Tippi Hedren stars as an attractive woman who moves to a small town somewhere in the U.S. For no given reason 'the birds' start behaving wildly, pecking people's eyes out & doing all those things we know birds are capable of but don't expect them to do.
Amongst all this there is a blossoming romance between Hedren & Rod Taylor.
In contrast with most horror movies made in this era it is quite scary, there is more blood than most cinema goers of that decade would have been used to.
What I didn't like about the film was that there is no real reason for the birds acting so bizarrely; why all ... Read More:

Overall looking from a movie point of view, it's not bad at all. As a fan of Pokemon i like watching the series, the movies and playing the games. I like the way the movie was produced and done. I like the visual effects, which some say may not work. But i think overall it's a nice family film, and i can't see a Pokemon fan being disappointed. But great to check out!

I got this movie for my birthday, and I watched it about three times over. If you haven't seen the movie, then this is the story.
A young boy (who is actually a young Prof. Oak) ventures into the forest where Celebi lurks. He doesn't know this, but when a Scyther and Houndoom catches Celebi, the boy (named Sammy) saves the Celebi. It travels to the future and they meet Ash, Brock and Misty and Pikachu, but Celebi has already fled. They find the afraid Celebi in a small cave, but Sammy takes it and Celebi takes a great liking to Sammy and Ash. When Celebi grows weak, they bathe it in the Lake of Life.
A serious Team Rocket member possesses a ball called a 'Dark Ball' which catches the Pokemon and turns it evil. It catches Celebi, and the Rocket commands Celebi ... Read More:

Today I recived my copy of Destiny Deoxys (I m a UK importer so :P) so in true Pokemon fanboy stlye I will review it!

Very good. It seems the producers have really gone downtown to chinatown (In other words did a good job). The opening explaining Pokemon was far better then what previous movies has done with all those Pokemon and so on.

Animation. Top notch. The 3D effects worked well and I m not the kinda guy that thinks 3D works well in animes or cartoons (Thinks of Final Fantasy Unlimited. EEK!).

Deoxys. Finally learned how to say "Deoxys". Had no voice so 4Kids could nt screw up in that department! lol. The way Deoxys moves is amazing. The flying, the morphing etc. Very nice.

Plot. God. For a change I could nt predict what would ... Read More:

DVD : Inside The Osmonds [2001]
As one of the biggest Osmond fans on the face of the Earth.. I thought this telefilm was a great watch for 1 and a half hours. It skimmed over the entire family's history, from egomaniac Merrill's overinfalted opinion oof himself, to Alan's responsibility of the group and the brothers, Jay and Wayne get the short end of the stick in this film as they don't really have any input.

The characters you want to feel most sorry for is Marie and Donny - neither ask for any of the pressure added onto them yet they seem obligated to as they have the most appeal for the entire family. Bruce McGill is fabulous as the father and Ryan Kirkpatrick is brilliant as Merrill.

The brothers are easy to tell apart and some of the real footage is great to integrate with the ... Read More:
