Having watched this film a good half dozen times, I just wanted to say how refreshing it is to be able to watch a Saturday night slapstick which does not involve sex gags, gormless teenagers or even worse, high school students. I would however take the Amazon reviewer to task about the "c-list" stars. If John Cleese, Whoopi Goldberg and Rowan Atkinson are C-list, I'd like to know who's on your "a-list". There's a time and a place for everything, and if you want something light and distracting, this is perfect. We can't all watch "Schindler's List" all the time. Even thinking about this film brings a smile to my face.

This is a really fun movie. Filled with awsome skating and cute boys. It's just about four guys going on a road trip, trying to become pro skaters, along with them are real pro-skaters like Bam Margera, Bob Burnquist, Bucky Lasek and Brian Summer. Just see the movie, you will like, everyone will, you'll see.

In the mould of such comedies as Dogma, but with a much darker, nastier edge. This is a film which leaves you remembering one or two priceless scenes and a sense of having been in the presence of genius.

Vince Vaughn's portrayal of Lester is absolutely first class, especially the scene in which he chats up the stony faced Fed in a bar. As a guy, one feels torn between wanting her not to fall for his wiles, and yet also wanting him to succeed! Joaquim Phoenix as Clay is also excellent, giving the part the vulnerability and frustration it needs.

Overall, a fantastic film to watch late at night with some well-chosen friends. Possibly followed by Fight Club if anyone can stay awake.
