I watched this at an early age and I still love it now and sing along to the songs as much as I ever did! With a geeky Rick Moranis and a scary Steve Martin, this film doesn't fail to please.
Although it looks like a kids film younger children might be a bit worried by the man-eating plant . . .however my kids love it ( little gore-hunters that they are!) Its bright colours and cheesy songs are the perfect antidote to a boring sunday afternoon!!!

Moonstruck is perfection. The ultimate love story of a woman who settles for love with the wrong man and then meets his brother and falls for him instead! Great escapism with the ugly duckling makeover, humour and lovely views of New York. All the cast are fab and add their own elements to the story. Cher deserved her oscar for this role. My all-time favourite film.

Death Wish is considered to be a classic movie and even though it was first released in 1974, it still stands the test of time.

A respectable New York civil engineer's life changes when his wife is murdered and his daughter is raped in their own apartment while he's at work. After a business trip to Tucson, Arizona (where he is given a pistol as a leaving present) he then returns to New York and reinvents himself as a vigilante.

I wonder how the New York tourist authorities took to this when it first came out... Death Wish is a dark tale - as expected, there's little cheer in this movie. It's also a rather slow starter - for example, Paul Kersey (the protagonist) doesn't bump off his first mugger until the 44th minute (it's a 93 ... Read More:

The DVD box set offers excellent value for money and Martin Sheen and John Shea are very powerful as the Kennedy Brothers. History is repeated with accuracy although my only critisism is that their golden era is portrayed as just that "golden" although it clearly wasnt. I would still recommend this set to anyone for a rainy Sunday afternoon in.

DVD : Death Wish 2 [1982] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
DEATH WISH 2 is my absolute favorite film of all times. The Region 1 DVD features the R-Rated version of the film (censored by approx. 3 minutes in mostly the two notorious rape scenes). This version is longer than the UK print(which is based on the UNRATED version, but was cut down even more than the R-Rated version). Fact is: the rape scenes add to the impact but are not really necessary to be seen fully. Bronson is great - as always - he has charisma, and this film is the best vigilante movie ever, even better than the original DEATH WISH.

7.The Super/With Honors (REGION 1) (NTSC) starring: Joe Pesci, Brendan Fraser, Vincent Gardenia, Moira Kelly, Patrick Dempsey

I've always loved this movie since I saw it on video many years ago. I finally got around to buying the DVD and watched it with a group of friends recently. Without exception, the guys loved it and the girls hated it!

You can see why. It's basically the story of a rich, talented guy who works his way through a string of short term relationships with beautiful women whilst acting like a complete jerk. In other words, he is the kind of guy that most guys want to be and most women claim to hate.

Comedy-wise, for the first half of the movie the laughs come from amusing banter, with our hero dishing out put downs and caustic comments to all around him (and suffering more than a few himself). The movie then goes into more of a slapstick mode for the second ... Read More:

DVD : Death Wish 2 [1981]
This is my absolute favorite of the Death Wish series - actually MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIMES - although the UK version suffered a lot of cuts to one of the most gruesome rape scenes I have ever seen, therefore losing some of its impact in this version.
But the best part anyhow is Charlie getting even, in his cool and relentless way.
If you expect plot twists and nail-biting suspense, you might not be too thrilled, but if you simply enjoy watching the "bad guys" getting theirs you won't be disappointed.

This comedy is a delectable satire by Wilder of the newspapers' world (that he knew very well, having worked for newspapers at the beginning of his career in Germany). The copy sold here is nonetheless of a very bad quality, strongly noticeable on a large screen. The cellophane wrap bears the words "printed in Mexico". An inquiry regarding the reasons of such mention would be useful.
