Really a great set of twin gangster movies!! Unlike American shoot'em ups, these two have more gangster attitudes and darkness to them than blood and gore! By watching both movies it is obvious that they were directed by the same Guy Ritchie which uses a similar style for both movies but with their own uniqueness.

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels: More of a gangster movie than Snatch and there were more spectacular camera shots that caught my eye, such as the extreme close ups on the pupils of the eye and their contraction as a way of emphasizing the responses and thoughts of the characters. The plot tends to get more and more complicated as the movie progresses and then an unexpected ending that ends the whole movie and sort ... Read More:

Ive seen the original and ive watched this one countless times and what can i say but the remake is so much better! The cars, the story, the cast are all phenominal. Nick cage plays a blinder as a retired car theif brought out from retirement to aid his dimwitted brother secure cars for a pre doctor who cristopher ecclestons british baddie!

The chase scenes are great to watch the cars are good to look at angelina jolie is just the cherry on the cake! even vinne jones plays a lovable character!

This film is all about speed and fast cars, its a great film that can be enjoyed over and over again!

I love this film.
Fast - funny - pacy and full of great true to life characters - it is the closest thing to perfection.
It is right up there with Get Carter - Till Death Us Do Part and A Clockwork Orange.
The best thing to come out of British Cinema for more than 20 years - I would love a sequal.

I remember 2007 has been the year of the three-quel's, and at long last--after the ambitious excess of "Spiderman 3," the lackluster of "Shrek the Third," the love-it-or-hate-it logic to the "Pirates" finale, the return to glossy form of "Ocean's 13," and the tense, engaging "Bourne Ultimatum" (which gave a great ultimatum to its own franchise)--we come to its end with the fun, campy adrenaline-rush of Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker re-teaming for "Rush Hour 3." At the end of watching this I though it was okay but I felt a bit sad that it had to come to an end like this because I enjoy the first two very much.

Jackie Chan (Lee) acts well as usual (have some problem for pronouncing things but I didn't mind that) and Chris Tucker is ... Read More:

Lock, stock and 2 smoking barrels is a crime tale about a group of friends from London who happen to lose a game of poker, they end up in a lot of debt thus having to get out of it. The story takes many twists & turns and will also make you laugh as it has a very good use of wry & dark humor. The plot evolves around one man but there are many characters who share as if not more an important role. The star of the show in this movie is Vinnie Jones who acts brilliantly.
I recomed 'Snatch' If you like this.

It is rare that a ninety minute film can feel like a four hour epic, but this one manages it. After some debate I have come to the conclusion that this is the worst film ever made by a human. The plot manages somehow to be weaker than the acting. It appears to have been made by someone who has never seen an actual film before, and doesn't really understand the concept of a story or words that people might say in real life. On the plus side, it seems the co-writer/ directors have created a new genre- the drama/spoof/cartoon/ picture. No-one will watch this film and laugh unless they have mental problems, if you like football don't bother because there isn't really any in it. it is made very clear on the DVD extras (which I watched to hurt myself more) ... Being a WWE fan, they produced this film, being a stonecold fan,he used to be in the WWE,and being a fan of mindless violence,i was certain that this film would tick all the boxes and leave me gratified, sadly it didnt come close.
I found the film to be dull and bland and extremely generic,it lifts most of its ideas from other films and too many people die in explosions which weakens the overall impact of the deaths. The films in question that this lifts heavily from include battle royale and the running man,two great films granted but this doesnt handle itself well, director scott wiper does a good job keeping things ticking along nicely but the one liners arent that strong and most of the characters arent worth a sixpence, stonecold does his best but ... A typical jerry bruckheimer no brains all action film, anyone who likes either fast cars or nick cage will like this.
The blueray its self is very good quality with bright, vibrant and sharp picture quality and excellent sound to boot, the disc is only let down by its limited extra features. If you havn't already got this on dvd then this is certainly worth a look.

What I watched it on.
Panasonic 42px60 (plasma 1080i)
playstation 3 blu-ray player (HDMI)
JVC th-v70r surround sound (optical) (dolby digital 5.1) (inc tannoy m1 front L/R speakers)
