... and one that far too many people haven't heard of. I believe that this was conventionally animated, when CGI was taking an increasing share of the market. Perhaps because it didn't have the high-definition quality of the Pixar films (think Nemo) Disney never seemed to do much to promote it.

However, what it lacked in that area is more than made up for in outstandingly funny script and characterisation - the old-school values of animation. "I've turned into a cow. Can I be excused?" Yeah, the tale is a little hackneyed - an odd couple who need to learn to get along to overcome their enemy - but it is just sooooo funny.

This film should have been awful but is nearer to a classic.
Michael Douglas gives another top notch performance startillingly similar to all his other performances. Rather than a critisism, an acknowledgement that Michael Douglas knows what he's good at and does it very well.
Douglas and co-star Annette Benning create the irresistable on screen chemistry and illuminate an enchanting tale.
In reality The American President is more of a modern fairytale than realistic drama.
Leaves you a little sad that that is the case.

I watched this all in one day one episode after the other, it just got funnier and funnier.
You could see the actors growing into their characters as the series went on, and the plots became more outrageous.

David Spade as Dennis Finch is a delight, his devious schemes and manipulation of Jack Gallo, (played by George Segal with great comic timing) is pure joy.

I love every character in it, from the tortured Maya to the neurotic Elliot, and of course Nina the original good time had by all!
Sheer comic genius..If you need cheering up, this will not fail you.

This series was one of the most original, creative and funniest things I have ever seen! I await the rest of the series with impatience!
The plot? a man swims upstream against circumstance, friends and lovers using clips from 1950's TV to rationalise and relate to his curent circumstance. Despite his weaknesses and failings you have to love Martin Tupper.

... and one that far too many people haven't heard of.

I have never been fussed about the "modern classics" like "Beauty and the Beast" or even "The Little Mermaid". But this one is brilliant.
