To be honest, I didn't think season 4 would be all that good, what with the death of Marissa Cooper at the end of season 3, I really didn't think the writers would come up with anything like what they did. However, when I started watching season 4, I knew that I was wrong to judge based on what happened last series. This is quite a short season - just 16 episodes, but it's a good one. I totally did not see the romance between Ryan and Taylor coming - if I'm truthful Ryan seemed to get over Marissa quite quickly; I thought he would be mourning and very unsociable for at least half of the series.
