I did enjoy the film - and thought it stood up well against The Lion et al, but what happened to 'a Horse and his boy'? (The 3 chronicle) also will we go back to the Magician's Nephew at a later stage?

I would give this book a five star rating because narnia is absolutely brilliant.whenever I read it I cat put it down that is how good C.S Lewis is.Also ,the drawing's init are excellent.woul recamend this book to people who like adventure stoies.Thebook is fiction and I also love it because it is in a fantacy would but it seams real at the same time.

This is bluray heaven, picture is breathe taking the visual effects stunning.This movie was made for bluray,could not follow storyline my eyes were mesmerized by the sheer beauty of this movie on screen.The sound quailty was awesome. Thankyou Disney movies for this excellent movie.I love it.

Great film, enjoyed it despite initial misgivings about watching a 'kids film'. Not going to review it in depth since so many others already have on the DVD section. The picture on the bluray disc is excellent throughout, which does mean that some of the more dodgy special effects are shown up - though fortunately not too often. For the most part the graphics are very good, Aslan in particular is impressive. The sound offers 5.1 and uncompressed. I could not get the uncompressed sound to work initially, but all was ok after a play around, and the uncompressed sound is very good. Footsteps in snow never seemed so loud! Fancy making your life shorter by wasting some time on this little gem of a film? Yes? - Then there is no hope for you I'm afraid; just give up now. If the answer is no - well thats different. I watched this on the tv on saturday night and this film is simply awful. It had potential with the story and settings but threw it all away with non existent acting. Poor poor directing. Mis casting of good actors and a completly ruined blance between humour and horror. It just ends up being neither. But hey dont just take my word for it. Violent, sadistic movie, without any redeeming features - didn't do anything for me. No, I lie. It gave me a lot of bad memory flashes. Switched it off quite quickly. Nasty stuff.

These reviews and the description (which even bemoans "the lack of extra features on this disc") all seem to refer to the standard edition of TCM2, when in fact this listing and illustration is for "The Gruesome Edition" which has various excellent extras, including 2 commentaries (one with director Tobe Hooper, and another featuring various cast members plus Tom Savini), a selection of deleted scenes (which more than earn this edition it's "Gruesome" tag), stills galleries and an extensive documentary - so this is the edition you want if it's the extras you're after... As for the film, it's not a patch on the original, but then what is, but it's still enjoyable in it's own right and getting "the gruesome edition" will certainly enhance that enjoyment.
