This is a truly great film, it really involves the viewer and tells a great story about an unjustly convicted man and his struggles in jail. It's got a lot of very moving moments and has a very human story at the centre.

I'd recommend this to anyone as a must see film, and it has enough in it to make it worth watching several times. An excellent film.

This film is fantastic. I rented it and watched it 5 times before I took it back and then ordered one from Amazon. I'm not in the habit of watching films repeatedly, and neither are my family, but even as my sister watched it for the first time she said "can we watch it again when it's finished"!

Perfect casting for the kid, he's amazing... adorable. The story is entirely music based, and even being completely tone deaf, I loved the whole thing. Buy it, rent it, whatever, just give it at least one watch :-)

This movie is just great, fantastic acting from both Freeman and Robbins. The transfer to high definition isn't the best, but it is fantastic considering this film is now nearly 15 years old, the grayness and dullness of Shawshank State Prison is seen like live I've seen it before, the dark colors are really clear, however seeing how they didn't have HD cameras back then some of the scenes can look a bit blurry and unclear but most of the time its not very noticeable.

7/10 for audio - Good, but i think it could've been better

8/10 for picture - regarding the films age is good but could be better

9/10 the movie it-self - great, entertaining, with twists and turns
but at times can feel ... Read More:

In the sequel to the brilliant Bill and Ted's excellent adventure, Bill and Ted are under threat from the future, as the evil Chuck De Nomolos sends two evil robots, disguised as Bill and Ted to earth to kill human Bill and Ted, in order to change the future.

In a great comedy pairing, Winter and Reeves excel to deliver delicious humour to the audience in this entertaining sequel. Though lacking the sharpness of the first, Bogus Journey still has the great catchphrases and dialogue from the leading pair, not to mention an hilarious performance by William Sadler, who brings a humorous side to the figure of depth, the grim reaper. Watch for the games sequences, the best moment in the entire film, but one of many great techniques used to justify the ... Read More:

Wow! If one word describes The Mist's ability to shock and scare the watcher then this is it. Contrary to some reviews I believe the script is very well thought out and interesting showing what happens when society breaks down and although the special effects start out a little bit on the cheap side they get better and better including a stunning sequence involving flying bugs. Unlike other horror movies it does sort of touch upon why it's happening and has an absolutely amazing ending that no-one would see coming. The americans didn't like the shock ending but is in complete contrast to other god awful endings. (No Country for old men and There will be Blood being prime examples!) This is a demonstration of how you end a film in style. It will leave you gobsmacked. This ... Read More:

John McClane is back! This time it's an airport he has to save from destruction - and he's pretty much alone on his crusade. When he sees a gang of misfits breaking into the luggage area, John gets rightfully suspicious; but the Captain thinks it's just punks fooling around. How wrong is he?

With John facing an apocalypse if he doesn't restore control, and he's got few friends, and a lot of enemies including mercs and the lack of cooperation from the police.

Another fine film, thankfully remastered for Blu-Ray disk. The picture is beautiful and full framed, running at a staggering 30MB/s average, and the tru-HD sound at 20MB/s is absolutely amazing. It really does feel like you're in the cinema. There are two languages: French and Spanish, and the ... Read More:

This has some great action and good lines. It's a good film and the stunts have some great moments to them. Well worth buying.

This is no classic. Seagal plays a cop who after capturing a politician on film with some well known criminals becomes their target. He survives but his family do not. The rest you can guess. Having said its no classic, that is only by comparison to the very highest standards; as Seagal films go this is one of his best. He has ample opportunity to display his martial arts skills and it moves along with pace, and as its only just over an hour and a half long this means you won't be bored.

However the script is pretty average, and as with a lot of Seagal films it has a made for TV feel about it which does it no favours. I certainly wouldn't recommend purchasing as I don't believe it will hold up to repeated viewings. See it once and enjoy it for what it is and move on!
