I was a little worried as i'm a blackandwhitefilmophobe but, this fim is marvelous. Compared to films like Serpico, Taxi Driver, The Warriors that show New York on the 1970's as a cess pit this shows 70's New York through Woody Allen's eyes and what a place it is. 5 Stars all the way.

Interesting film. Complex, if slightly annoying characters who tend to either argue, produce witty anecdotes or whine about how the sex in their relationship is non exsistant. Woody Allen gets on my nerves but I knew this was a film I had to watch as I slowly worked my way through the latest 'hundred greatest films' list, put together no doubt by a group of people who all know each other. I'm not sure why this is on the list but there are some comic moments and yes, although aggrivating, Woody Allen is strangly loveable by the end of the film, although his attitude to women is weirdly uncomfortable and stifling to watch, moving from break up to break up to marriage proposals within an hour and a half. I absolutely love Sandler and Nickolson but when they work together they make a fantastic double act! I have never laughed so much in my life as I did during some of the scenes in this film. It is very well written with some hysterical moments of pure comedy. I recommend this to any Sandler fan, it is an enjoyable watch wit some witty characters.

This film is not my favourite Woody Allen by any chalk, but it has some priceless moments. There is certainly enough here to keep people interested if you're in the right mood, although some of it does creep towards navel gazing. For me this is Woody Allen just about the right side of too much self regarding. Parts of it work brilliantly, so if you like his wit, or particularly relate to Humphrey Bogart, watch it.

I just don't get this movie. Yes, there are some funny one liners from Allen, but this is NOT a five star movie in my humble opinion. Sorry!

I loved this film as a kid, and am glad that it hasn't lost any of it's magic now that I've grown up a bit! I'd assume this film gets many comparison's with Pixar's 'A Bug's Life', well, don't tell them I told you so, but I actually think Antz has the edge over that film. The animation is faultless, the story line suitable for both a younger and older audience, theres characters you love, and others you love to hate, and a feel good message at the end of it all - don't be afraid to dream, and if we all stick together, we can achieve anything. Great film!

I'm a fan of Woody Allen films because they're always laced with witty comment and insight into the human condition.This film is no exception but I found that unlike many of Allen's other films the narrative didn't seem to focus enough on anyone in particular (which is surprising given the emphasis on Hannah in the film's title)and that I didn't feel emotionally involved or sympathetic towards any of the characters being portrayed. Michael Caine's character seemed out of place (an englishman in New York). I also found the old-fashioned 1930s music and 1930s reminiscent drab,colourless clothes of the cast out of place given that we were supposed to be experiencing New York in the 1980s.However the dialogue was in general good and the film locations interesting.From watching other Woody Allen ... When you mention Cult Classics...This is not on any list. But it is on top of mine. Woody takes the "Rip van Winkle" concept and puts us in a future which is...well. Filled with gags or funny insights. I love the "Orgasmatron"...it is funnier than anything done in the last decade or so. Plus I love the health food of the future...make sure all your health food conscience friends watch this...Because you never know! A great film to watch with friends....
