Being relatively new to the world of classical music - I had no idea what the music contained on this DVD was like. All I knew was that I can't get enough of the fearsome interpretations created by the great Valery Gergiev. The three pieces of music all have something in common - their quiet, subdued passion. They are all like a young girl, hiding away her inner most thoughts - sometimes happy, sometimes frightened, sometimes light, sometimes dark.
