This is one of the best films I've seen in ages - funny, touching and close to the book. It leaps from past to present, story to real life easily and effectively, and ties up Kissin' Kate Barlow, Madame Zerone and the Warden well, mixing up the stories as seamlessly as the book does. It is a beautiful adaption of the book - the screenplay was written by Louis Sachar himself, which means that it's been done exactly as he meant it to be. Writing is making a film in your head, and this is exactly the kind of film he was writing.

I Dont normally go for Water movies, I Wouldnt of botherd with this one unless a cousin recomended it, But what a brilliant movie, had me hooked from beginning to end, the End made me go cold, especially when the last guy you see rescued says that he was with someone the whole time, "He never let go" you have to watch the movie or have already seen it to know what I Mean there, The Guardian of the sea,
Ive always liked Ashton kutcher, being a fan of that 70s show, and loving the butterfly effect, but this performance couldnt be any further from the dumb idiot guy from that 70s show, its a Masterful performance, and this guy deserves to be a Big star, Im sure he will, Superb stuff!

Under Seige is another of those relentless action movies that both entertains and rolls a few eye balls. And with Steven Segal as the protagonist, its no wonder that you can't take this film seriously.

It's the usual story; Segal, just your average musclebound cook who rebels his officers, is the only man who can save the day after Tommy Lee Jones (a crazed ex servant in vietnam) takes over a large warship. Being trapped in a freezer while his companions were held hostage, he has the perfect opportunity to;

- Rip off his shirt minutes after escaping the freezer (with absolutely no intentions of flexing his body, of course...)
- Meet a fine young woman who as usual is a pain in the ****
- Teach this young woman ... Read More:

One of Seagal's best. A piece of work former CIA operative turned cop gets vicious with thugs who are, oo, very nasty pieces of work. There are some great fights & good lines, great supporting work from Pam Grier and Sharon Stone.

The martial arts work is top and there is plenty of high quality B movie cheese. Great stuff & superb entertainment.

I am not going to say much about this film.
It is entertaining and not badly done, but please do your selves a favour and watch the Hitchcock original "Dial M for murder".
This film is a remake and I guess you will forget about it quite quickly once you have seen the original.
This film lacks the humor, charme and, most of all "class" of the hitchcock original.

LA Fireman takes on the terrorists

I have never particularly keen a fan of Arnie films. They are too Hollywood and fantastical

I watched this as I was waiting for something else to come on

The story took off after a fireman loses his wife and child in a terrorist attack in Los Angeles. We are told the film was made before 9/11.

The US at that time did not have the full range of enemies it seems to have today so they picked on Colombians. The plot is preposterous in that an aged fireman is going to take on the baddies and take them out. Like all good revenge films the baddies underestimate what they are up against. You just know that Arnie is going to pop down to Columbia and take them all out.

When Chuck Norris does press-ups he doesn't push himself up,he pushes the world down.

A contender for greatest box set ever created? I think so. Add Invasion USA and you've got the meaning to life.

To be honest, this movie is pretty harmless. It's not got a huge amount in its favour..it's just a very average thriller with a simple plot. There's nothing in here that is going to surprise or shock you... It's quite clear that they didn't put a lot of effort into researching the science behind the fiction as, well, they didn't go into any detail.... it more like 'oh look, fancy hydrogen generator.....it'll change the world... everybody run...there's some bad guys who want to bury the technology' Like I said...simple plot. Did find it quite amusing to see Neil Flynn play one of the cops though (he's the janitor from scrubs for those who don't know). Where this Blu-ray is such a letdown though is in the transfer. Quite frankly...it's far worse than average. ... Read More:
