I didn^t watch this when it was on Living t.v. But tried the box set because of the fantastic cheap price. I^m glad I did. A better choice than Kyle Schmid should of been made for the lead Vampire role. Someone slightly older and more charismatic would of been better. But otherwise it^s good entertaining viewing. The box set is good picture/sound quality. Shame there^s no extras at all. Would of been nice to see behind the scenes. The question is now: Will there be a season 2 out on DVD box set in the future.?

DVD : Stargate Atlantis: Season 4 (REGION 1) (NTSC)
I know this DVD isn't out yet, so I can't comment on the DVD itself, but I can comment on the series.

I started watching Stargate Atlantis before I started watching Stargate SG-1, and now I am up to season 6 of SG-1. Season 4 of SGA is overall very good, with fantastic episodes like Be All My Sins Remember'd and Midway, and seemingly pointless and bad episodes like Trio and Quarantine.

This season brings back most of the old characters, but has Col. Samantha Carter from SG-1 replacing Dr. Weir as the Expedition Leader of Atlantis. The overall story is the continuation and the eventually conclusion (sort off) of the Replicator storyline. Other storylines include Michael and Teylas pregnancy. Replicators and pregnancys I can live ... Read More:

Another excellent offering from the Stargate:Atlantis spin off.

In Hot Zone, McKay is once again uncomfortably in the thick of the action- responding with his characteristic acidic wit- while Sheppard races to his aid against the better judgement of Dr Weir.

Sanctuary sees the team land in a pre-technological paradise after a close shave with the wraith. The inhabitants, and their local priestess, seem in perfect health and totally untouched by the wraith- but all is not as it seems. A great twist at the end here.

Before I sleep is another excellent episode, one of the best to date in my opinion. The team discover an elderly woman in stasis while exploring the city. Upon awakening, the woman identifies herself as none other ... Read More:

What can i say they have pulled of a miracle i thought Stargate SG1 would go off the map after Richard Dean Anderson left. Boy was i wrong it gets better and better each time and am just as hooked as when it first began.

With new charactors Cameron Mitchell (Ben Browder) who is awesome in the new role as leader and also Vala Mal Doran (Claudia Black)as the lead female for some of season nine while (Amanda Tapping was off having a baby, made great additions. Claudia Black's charactor is to become a regular in season 10

Also the new big bad the Ori who believe everyone should bowl down and worship if not they will kill and punish you, also trouble within the free Jaffa nation trying to get used to things without the Goa'uld even if some ... Read More:

The last couple of episodes to this series are quite annoying but funny. You pretty much hate the characters (especially the accents) Its not a bad story line though.
The team go back in time and mess up the timeline but have film edthemselves and left the Camcorda where it'll be found with the time ship so if the timeline has been severly altered, people would know once they found the camcorda.
Dr Jackson has never joined star gate, T' is still 'Evil', Sam (is soooo annoying) never joined the airforce - couldn't figure out how they'd changed that - and good old O'Neil fishes alot and takes people out in his boat.
Its a good giggle and does distract you from the fact that O'Neils character is being fased out. ... Read More:
